As nine radiant lotus seeds were expelled, their fragrance instantly became overwhelmingly rich. However, neither the trainer nor the Pokémon had the luxury to appreciate it. Their focus was entirely on the nine glowing lotus seeds floating in the air.
Despite it being broad daylight, the lotus seeds emitted a dazzling light, making them clearly visible.
The quasi-Elite Four and High Elite-level Pokémon in the background remained still. They knew that only if the battle among Alakazam, Grumpig, and Machamp escalated into chaos would they have a chance to seize the lotus seeds.
With a mutual glance, Alakazam, Grumpig, and Machamp sprang into action simultaneously.
Surrounded entirely by Psychic-type Pokémon, Machamp no longer needed to conceal its Moonwalk technique and had no concern about losing the initiative.
Though they had not exchanged words, Machamp and Alakazam displayed remarkable synergy, each charging in different directions to avoid conflict.
Upon seeing this, the other Psychic-type Pokémon no longer hesitated, unleashing their abilities as they rushed toward the lotus seeds.
To prevent other Pokémon from attacking him, Ron remained vigilant alongside Gardevoir. The upcoming battle was now entirely up to Machamp.
Stepping lightly with Moonwalk, Machamp swiftly pivoted and unleashed Finger Pistol: Morning Peacock, sending a fiery wave sweeping behind it.
Without pausing, Machamp turned and pushed its speed to the maximum. By utilizing Life Return, Machamp's physique subtly adjusted, reducing air resistance while using Moonwalk to maneuver more efficiently.
The cascading flames separated the incoming Psychic-type Pokémon, blocking their approach.
Extending its hand, Machamp secured one lotus seed.
Without stopping, it continued its rapid movement toward the next one.
Meanwhile, Alakazam and Grumpig also managed to obtain one lotus seed each.
Just as Machamp and the others prepared to continue their actions, a water column suddenly erupted from the lake's surface.
From beneath the waters, a Starmie emerged, having been lurking unnoticed. To remain hidden even under the watchful eyes of Alakazam and Grumpig, Starmie clearly possessed the power of a low-tier Elite Four Pokémon.
Using its psychic abilities, it condensed water into a blade, slicing between the two Psychic-types before successfully securing a lotus seed of its own.
Now, only six lotus seeds remained in the air.
Realizing this, the remaining Psychic-type Pokémon unleashed their most powerful moves, hoping to throw the battlefield into further chaos and grab a lotus seed amidst the disorder.
Some Psychic-type Pokémon even set their sights on Ron, attempting to force Machamp into giving up a lotus seed. However, upon seeing a quasi-Elite Four Persian and a High Elite Gardevoir standing guard, they wisely abandoned the idea.
If they failed to take down Ron immediately, they would face the wrath of Elite Four-level Pokémon.
Suddenly, Four Tiger Slaughter was executed—four ferocious white tigers roared forward, obliterating all incoming attacks. Machamp then combined Moonwalk with Shave, moving with such speed that it appeared to teleport to the location of the second lotus seed.
Firmly grasping two lotus seeds, Machamp scanned the battlefield, assessing the possibility of acquiring another.
Alakazam, Grumpig, and Starmie, having each secured two lotus seeds, hovered in mid-air using their psychic abilities, silently observing the battlefield.
The last two lotus seeds lay quietly on the ground, left in the midst of the struggle.
Sensing the watchful gazes of the four Elite Four-tier Pokémon, the quasi-Elite Four and High Elite Psychic-type Pokémon instinctively coordinated, tensely observing their every move.
"Let's go, Machamp. Two lotus seeds are enough."
Ron's voice echoed in Machamp's mind as he glanced at the battlefield.
Two lotus seeds were sufficient; there was no need for unnecessary combat.
Keeping a wary eye on the remaining Pokémon, Machamp stepped back with Moonwalk, returning to Ron's side.
To avoid interference from other Psychic-type Pokémon, Ron chose not to have Gardevoir use Teleport. Instead, he relied on Shave to make a swift escape.
Seeing that Machamp had left the battlefield, the remaining three Elite Four-level Psychic-type Pokémon did not retreat.
Different Pokémon's psychic energies intertwined in the air, merging into a powerful Psychic Storm.
As it absorbed an overwhelming amount of Psychic power, the storm grew even more intense, swallowing everything in its path. Even the grass on the ground was not spared—let alone the two unanchored lotus seeds.
A tremendous suction force surged forth. The High Elite-level Pokémon had already abandoned any hope of obtaining the lotus seeds; all they could do was desperately channel their Psychic power to resist the storm's pull.
But this, in turn, only caused the Psychic Storm to absorb even more power, creating a vicious cycle.
The quasi-Elite Four Pokémon fared slightly better. With their strength, they could still manage to withdraw from the battlefield if they wished. However, with the lotus seeds right before them, how many Pokémon could truly resist such temptation?
Only Gallade, after scanning the surrounding Pokémon, decisively chose to retreat.
High above, Alakazam and the other two Pokémon seemed completely unaffected by the storm's pull, continuing to unleash their Psychic power without restraint.
The very storm that forced High Elite and quasi-Elite Four Pokémon to avoid it at all costs had become their personal battlefield.
A radiant blue light enveloped Alakazam as its immense Psychic power coalesced, forming a colossal Psyblade that slashed forward, threatening to split the Psychic Storm apart.
In the next moment, the suction force vanished entirely, causing the struggling Psychic-type Pokémon to suddenly lurch backward.
"You won't get away with this!"
With a furious roar in Pokémon language, Grumpig immediately pursued Alakazam, the first to charge ahead.
Unleashing Psychic, Grumpig's attack took the form of a massive web, expanding toward Alakazam in an attempt to ensnare it.
Just as Ron had refrained from using Teleport with Gardevoir, Alakazam dared not use it either. Instead, it had no choice but to turn around and counterattack.
All the while, Starmie remained silent, focusing its Psychic power solely on propelling itself toward the floating lotus seed in the sky.
Come to think of it, even amidst this overwhelming Psychic storm, the lotus seeds remained completely unscathed—a testament to their extraordinary nature.
Blocking Grumpig's assault, Alakazam immediately turned and launched an attack alongside Grumpig against Starmie, which had gotten the closest to the lotus seed.
The other quasi-Elite Four Psychic-type Pokémon continued to observe, hesitant to step into battle without absolute confidence in their chances.
Meanwhile, having successfully secured two lotus seeds, Ron had long since distanced himself from the small lake.
To avoid potential ambushes, he didn't stop until two hours later.
"So this is the legendary lotus seed that greatly enhances Psychic-type Pokémon… It really is remarkable."
Taking the two lotus seeds from Machamp, Ron couldn't help but marvel.
Even just holding them, he could feel his own Psychic energy becoming noticeably more vibrant.
"Gardevoir, try using the lotus seed in your training. Let's see just how much of an effect it has."
Handing one lotus seed to Gardevoir, Ron quietly entered his meditative state. After a brief hesitation, Gardevoir followed suit, beginning its own training.
Though Lucario's Aura sensing range was not as vast as Gardevoir's Psychic perception, it was still more than sufficient to keep watch.
