I woke up to an empty bed and a gentle breeze. The lapping of the waves was my alarm clock this time as I let out a groan and rolled onto my back. I had fallen asleep wrapped in Edwards arms and for once I was surprised to wake up feeling quite hot.
We were both so used to the cold that as soon as I didn't feel his heat I always woke up back in England. This time however was pleasant.
I rubbed my eyes for a second then sat up. At night I hadn't had a good look at the bedroom because all I wanted to do was sleep. Now that I looked around I found it equivalent to a teenager's bedroom. The light turquoise wooden window frames added a wonderful coastal feel to it. He must have opened them some time during the morning before he left.
It let in the most wonderful scent. The sea and forest wrapped up into one. The cool air helped reduce the temperature of the room.
