I rubbed my extremely full stomach and looked outside. "I don't think I'll be able to walk right now."
He let out a laugh and reached out to hold my hand. He hadn't said anything about my Dad statement earlier but I could see the curiosity in his eyes. However I was thankful he didn't pry. He probably knew that if he did I would pop off and I wasn't afraid to find a way back to the UK to be honest.
There should have been a golden rule amongst us. He didn't ask me personal questions nor did I. It was good if we stayed like this in our little bubble of make belief then we would be just fine. We would be great in fact and I wouldn't have to bring that drama to us.
"Come on, I'll go get the beach towels," he left the table and went into the house quickly. He came back with the towel and I forced myself up then followed him down the stairs.
