Evan really did not like to be the center of attention, but at the Commander's request, went up to the front of the room. He saw a map on the wall of Oxford College, with Christ Church on it. He conferred for a second with the Commander and then with Hermione. "Hermione, can you create a 3D map of Oxford College and Christ Church using the map on the wall?" Hermione thought about it and nodded in the affirmative. "I am concerned," she said "about performing magic outside the school. You know they monitor for magic." "I think I have a solution" Evan said. "Please give me one moment to exchange maps" he said to the group. He then exited the room, went to the rest room, made sure no one was there, and locked it. He then called Dobby. "Dobby. Can you make this map into a 3-dimensional map that represents the ground surface?" Dobby looked at the map. "What is map of? He asked. "It is of Oxford College and Christ Church" Evan responded. "Dobby can do. Bes back in a minute" then popped out with the map. A minute later he popped back in with a stiff 3-D map. "You are the greatest Dobby. Thanks million!" Evan then returned to the briefing room.
"Sorry about that. I thought a 3D map of the location would be better than just a 2D map. As the Commander indicated, the targeted area is Christ Church in Oxford College. In particular Tom Tower, Tom Gate, and Tom Quad. And yes, there is a theme to that. The head terrorist's name is Tom. The only other information that I have is that it is supposed to be 'as the bells toll noon'. From the map you can see Tom Tower." Evan used a stick to point out the tower, and later the other landmarks. "Tom Tower houses a bell called…'Great Tom'. Tom gate goes through the tower, connecting to Tom Quad. Tom Quad is the largest college quad in Oxford and measures approximately 80 meters by 80 meters. The grounds of the quad, as seen on the map, are flat and composed of grass and brick. The Mercury Fountain can be found in the center of the Quad. Tom Tower is on the West side of the Quad. The entrance to Christ Church Cathedral is on the east side. The entrance to the college dining hall is at the southeast corner of the Quad. The north contains the homes of the cannons of Christ Church. The east side of the Quad is taken up by the Deanery, where the Dean of the college lives. Parts of the Quad are still lived in by first year undergraduates. This is a tourist spot as well – we can anticipate over 1,300 tourists there tomorrow. I do not know how many will be there at 12 noon."
General Black got up and went to the front of the briefing room. "Our terrorists typically like to dress in black robes with bone-white masks. Their weapon is a wand stick. Miss Granger can fill you in on what they can do with this stick. Whatever you do, do not let any of the laser blasts from those wands hit you. So far they arrive in groups and attack in groups. In Gandy Street they shot green and red blasts. In Goathland they tried to use some kind of fire. At Gandy, where there was little room for maneuvering, they had 10 terrorists. In Goathland, where they were more out in the open with multiple targets, they had 30 terrorists. At this time we do not know how many terrorists will arrive at Christ Church. Miss Granger…"
Hermione walked nervously to the front of the Briefing Room. Evan was still up front, and nodded to her in support. "The head terrorist, as you call him, is Voldemort. His birth name is Tom Marvello Riddle. He was born at an orphanage in London on December 31, 1926, so that makes him 74 years old. Do not let that fool you. He is vicious and evil. He always relied on fear and overwhelming odds to gain victory. During small attacks his Death Eaters would cast spells to control the minds of some of the victims, to torture or perform vicious acts on their own family members or brothers-in-arms. Those are purple spells. Another special spell they liked to cast is the cutting curse, an orange spell that can cut off a limb or head. The Cruciatus spell is a torture spell that feels like a thousand knives twisting in you at the same time – it is a red spell. The killing curse is a green spell – if it touches you, you are dead. Most wizards cast spells from distances of 10 to 20 feet. Often, they are not accurate, but when cast at a crowd of people, they don't have to be. Being non-magical, there are only two defenses against spells: (a) don't be there when the spell gets there, and (b) a physical shield between you and the spell. Remember, spells are blasts of energy, and can in some cases explode on contact with a shield. These terrorists, or Death Eaters, have the ability to almost instantly teleport from one place to another – it looks like a black coalesced mist moving. As General Black said, stay away from the laser blasts."
