Chapter 30 - Second Aperture Gu

"..."

"Fang Yuan, you are Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable's inheritor. You have three opportunities to ask me to refine Gu."

"You can request any mortal Gu, and I will refine it for you without fail," the land spirit offered earnestly.

Fang Yuan smiled calmly. "I've already made up my mind. I want to refine an Immortal Gu."

Lang Ya was stunned. "Why would a mere mortal like you want an Immortal Gu?"

"None of your business. I just want an Immortal Gu." Fang Yuan looked at Lang Ya with a mocking smile. 'Does he think I'll be deceived into wasting my three chances?'

"Alright, which Immortal Gu do you want to refine?" Lang Ya said helplessly.

"Second Aperture Gu," Fang Yuan declared.

Hearing this, Lang Ya smirked. "I don't have the main refinement material for that Gu. And do you even have the recipe?"

Fang Yuan's expression turned slightly anxious. "I do have the recipe for this Immortal Gu, but the agreement states that the materials are your responsibility, correct?"

The land spirit's smirk widened. "Yes, you're right. I'll search for Divine Travel Gu in Treasure Yellow Heaven until I can purchase it."

"But you know how hard it is to acquire an Immortal Gu, hehehe."

"Fang Yuan, why not just refine a mortal Gu instead? At least you can actually use it. We don't even know where this Gu could be right now..."

Fang Yuan suddenly grinned. "Nah, actually, I know exactly where the Divine Travel Gu is. Hahaha!"

Lang Ya's face froze in shock. "W-What? You know where it is?"

Fang Yuan nodded. "Yeah, who would've expected that, right?"

"...Dammit! Fang Yuan, just tell me how to get it, or no Gu! Hmph!" Lang Ya grumbled in frustration.

"Uh, sure, sure. But the cost of the materials is on you, right?"

The land spirit was stunned by how fast things were moving. "Y-Yes, that was part of the agreement... I really hate that agreement."

Fang Yuan's grin grew even wider. "Wait a minute then."

He took out a Rank 5 Gu from his aperture—Moving Perspective Cup Gu.

Moving Perspective Cup Gu was a unique storage-type Gu. It allowed for the storage and transportation of "things" across the Space Cave, using its body to swap items between itself and its counterpart.

Distance didn't matter between the two cups. By harnessing the mystical forbidden passage of the Space Cave, it bypassed the Regional Walls of the five regions, making it incredibly valuable.

Fang Yuan activated the Gu and sent out a Letter Gu, Connecting Heaven Gu, and Divine Sense Gu.

After he did that, he just waited.

"..."

"Fang Yuan, where is the damn Gu?" Lang Ya felt irritated.

"Lang Ya, you need to have patience, my friend. Just wait."

"Damn it!" Lang Ya didn't know what to do. After all, he was bound by the agreement to refine the Gu, and now that he was told the materials had been found, he had no excuse to refuse.

— — —

After some time, Lang Ya suddenly looked at Fang Yuan. "You have it?"

"Hmm." Fang Yuan nodded.

"..."

Lang Ya had just received a message from Treasure Yellow Heaven—someone wanted to sell the Divine Travel Immortal Gu to him.

Connecting the dots, and considering how Fang Yuan had just sent the three Gu moments ago, he quickly realized that Fang Yuan had already had it.

"Lang Ya, you have to buy it from this person then... right?" Fang Yuan smirked.

"From how things are, the one who messaged me shouldn't be an Immortal Gu Master, but rather a mortal like you… or a Land Spirit?" Lang Ya didn't answer Fang Yuan directly but voiced his doubts.

Fang Yuan simply smiled. "It's a Land Spirit from a Blessed Land I recently acquired. It's not even in Northern Plains."

Lang Ya chuckled. "Then your Land Spirit claims it can't use Treasure Yellow Heaven to send the Gu? You must have some big secrets..."

"Lang Ya, my friend, you're not wrong. But in the end, you still have to buy the Gu. It's the agreement." Fang Yuan reminded him, his tone calm yet firm.

Lang Ya's smile widened. "Yes, yes, but I can only use Treasure Yellow Heaven, hehehe…"

"You think I'm stupid, don't you? You want me to refine a Stargate Gu and connect your Blessed Land with mine? Dream on!" Lang Ya had already seen through Fang Yuan's intentions.

Fang Yuan sighed. "Lang Ya, I can use Treasure Yellow Heaven, but I've offended a few Rank 8 Immortals—some of them are Wisdom Path Gu Masters. If you don't fear them, then sure, let's use Treasure Yellow Heaven."

Lang Ya narrowed his eyes. "Hah! Trying to scare me now?"

"Actually, I was doing this for you. I didn't want you to become a target like me," Fang Yuan said with a serious expression.

"..."

"Do you really expect me to believe that nonsense?" Lang Ya looked at Fang Yuan like he was an idiot.

"I swear it's true! They're searching for me, but luckily, I erased every trace of my identity, so they won't find me anytime soon. But if I trade this Gu through Treasure Yellow Heaven, they'll know immediately."

For the first time, there was a trace of genuine concern on Fang Yuan's face.

He wasreally worried—after all, Central Continent's immortal sects and Southern Border's forces were already aware he had this Gu. If he made a move now, he'd be exposed. Worse, a Wisdom Path Immortal might deduce his current location, and he couldn't allow that.

"So what?" Lang Ya scoffed. "There's no way I'm connecting my Blessed Land to yours."

"..."

Fang Yuan sighed. "Then I have another way."

"Oh? And what's that?" Lang Ya raised an eyebrow, curious.

Fang Yuan glanced at him before pulling out a dark stone from his robe. Without hesitation, he cracked it open.

The immortal aura of Fixed Travel Immortal Gu spread instantly.

"???!" Lang Ya's eyes widened in shock.

"How?! How did you, a mere mortal, manage to hide an Immortal Gu's aura?!"

"Wait... you're not even from the Northern Plains! Did you use this Gu to get here? But how? This is too strange..."

Fang Yuan smirked. "Interested? It's a killer move I created—so even a mortal like me can use an Immortal Gu."

"It's nothing special. This is just what I do."

Lang Ya was speechless. He didn't understand Heaven Path and had no clue how Fang Yuan had accomplished this. But now, his interest was piqued—he wantedthis method.

"Still… to think you actually have this Gu… You really deserve to be the inheritor of a Venerable." Lang Ya's tone carried a rare trace of admiration.

"So your plan is to use this Gu?" Lang Ya already guessed Fang Yuan's next move.

"Exactly. But I'll need you to activate it, and I need your room to match the image I've memorized—so I can appear there safely," Fang Yuan explained.

"...No problem. But how do I know you won't use this to invite intruders into my Blessed Land?" Lang Ya asked suspiciously.

"Simple. We make an agreement. And in return, you agree not to disclose any of my secrets or information." Fang Yuan's tone was casual, but his eyes were sharp.

Lang Ya thought for a moment before nodding. "Fine."

The two quickly established an agreement.

After sealing the deal, Fang Yuan used Fixed Travel Immortal Gu to return to Hu Blessed Land. There, he retrieved the Divine Travel Gu, then immediately returned to Lang Ya Blessed Land.

"Here's the Gu. You now owe me the worth of a Rank 6 Immortal Gu." Fang Yuan handed over the Divine Travel Gu without hesitation.

Lang Ya accepted it, inspecting it closely before nodding. "Fine. But I have the right to refuse if your demand isn't worth the Divine Travel Gu."

With that, he turned and began refining Second Aperture Gu.
