The next day, Kenji and Haruka got up early, as today, Kenji had decided to slowly fufill the promises that he had made.

As Haruka was a Cloud Moon Fox without any access to her bloodline, she was basically very weak to a strong opponent.
And knowing that he was definitely going to fight bigger and stronger opponents in the future, along with groups like the Crimson veil cult, he needed everyone around him to be strong and at full potential, and that included Haruka.
He was hoping to also find out a thing or two about the crimson veil while on this adventure, as it was best to know your enemy right before they strike. He didn't want to be caught off guard.
