Two days later.
A luxury car drives through the city streets. Morgana was lounging in her seat, driving casually without a care for her surroundings.
She was deeply focused on the road until the ringing of her phone snapped her out of it. She glanced away from the road to see who was calling.
"Hey, sis..."
"Morgana, go to the villa right now! Tony is in danger!" came Pepper's panicked voice.
As soon as she heard those words, Morgana abruptly turned the car around and sped toward Tony's villa without even asking what happened.
She raced through the streets at high speed, overtaking cars, while others quickly moved aside, afraid to damage the luxury vehicle, which gave her an advantage.
A few minutes later...
Tires screeched in front of the villa. Morgana immediately jumped out of the car and ran inside. At that moment, another car arrived, and James, Tony's friend, stepped out.
"Jarvis, where is Tony?" Morgana asked urgently.
"In the basement," Jarvis replied.
Morgana immediately ran down the stairs. When she arrived, she found Tony paler than ever, lying on the floor and barely breathing, trying to reach the arc reactor lying beside him.
Hehehe...
Tony turned his head toward the sound of the laughter, only to see Morgana's sadistic smile as she held up her phone, taking pictures of him.
Morgana saw the humiliated expression on Tony's face as he looked at her with pleading eyes. Without mercy, she took a few more pictures, then set the phone down in satisfaction.
She then picked up the old arc reactor and placed it where the arc reactor that was taken out of Tony's chest was supposed to be.
As Tony began to breathe normally again, Morgana looked toward the stairs where footsteps were heard and saw James coming down.
"Pepper called you too?" Morgana asked as she watched James approach with relief on his face, seeing that Tony had been saved.
"She did."
"Brother, who did this to you?" Morgana asked, looking at Tony, who had regained some color and stood up with James's help.
"Obadiah," Tony replied.
"Where's Pepper?" Tony asked, looking at James.
"She's fine. With the help of five agents, she's trying to catch Obadiah," James answered, still supporting Tony.
"That won't be enough." Tony pulled away from James and headed toward the Mark suit.
Morgana frowned as she watched Tony stand in the middle of the room while robots assembled the Mark armor around him. James stood beside him, saying something.
While Morgana was thinking that something felt off, Tony activated the suit and blasted off through the ceiling, punching a large hole on his way out.
"Second time, darling."
Morgana gave James a deadpan look as he spoke intimately to the Mark suit hanging there.
James saw Morgana's look, which clearly said: "Are you serious?" He could only look away in embarrassment, having forgotten she was in the room.
A moment later.
James saw Morgana running around the room, gathering various items and placing them on the workbench, starting to build something.
"What are you making?" James asked suspiciously.
"EMP," Morgana replied, resolving his doubts.
"Are you sure you can make an EMP out of that?" James asked in disbelief, looking at the random things that didn't seem like components for such a device.
"A one-time-use, yes," Morgana calmly replied, quickly assembling the EMP until it took the shape of a tennis ball.
"If Tony could build a combat suit in a cave with nothing, then I, who have everything ready, can make a simple EMP…" Morgana said as she walked through the room and approached the car. "…If I can't, then I should give up that so-called genius title."
"How's your driving?" she asked James, who was standing beside her.
"Very good."
"Oh." Morgana simply looked at James and got into the car, while James sat in the passenger seat.
"I doubt it," Morgana said, pressed the gas pedal, and sped toward the garage exit.
As the car weaved around other vehicles at high speed without any difficulty, in a distant location, two robots could be seen fighting, while people fled the scene, abandoning their cars.
One was silver, over three or four meters tall, and the other gold and red, human-sized.
"I love this suit," Obadiah's excited voice could be heard from within the silver combat body that stood facing Tony's.
Before Tony could speak, Obadiah started firing at him, forcing him to dodge the projectiles.
While Tony was evading, Obadiah kept getting closer, using Tony's divided attention against him.
When the shooting stopped, Tony tried to catch his breath, but Jarvis's warning voice interrupted him.
Before Tony could react, Obadiah struck him from the side, sending him flying ten meters with a powerful hit.
Tony, regaining his focus, noticed Obadiah launching a missile at him.
He quickly fired a laser from his hand, hitting the missile mid-air between them. The explosion pushed him back even further, while Jarvis's voice continuously warned about damage.
While the two robots fought, a white Audi arrived a bit further from the battlefield.
"Someone told me you drive very well," Morgana joked, looking at James beside her, who was covering his mouth with his hand to avoid vomiting.
When he heard her remark, James just gave her an annoyed look and silently swore never to get in a car with her again.
Morgana smiled and got out of the car, heading toward the fight, leaving James to compose himself alone.
When she got closer, she hid behind a car, watching the fight, not just a one-sided beating, waiting for the right moment.
A few minutes later, Morgana saw Obadiah throwing Tony to the ground and continuing to beat him, not giving him a chance to fight back.
Then she stepped out of cover, seeing that Obadiah had his back turned, focused on abusing Tony.
"Hey, uncle!" Morgana called loudly, drawing his attention as she slowly approached.
She succeeded. Obadiah turned toward her.
"Hahaha, dear niece, I'm glad you came. Now I don't have to look for you."
Morgana felt a chill as she listened to his arrogant voice, like a god. A sadistic, cruel smile appeared on her face, one that would send shivers down most people's spines.
But no one saw it, except one person who was now beneath the huge robot.
Tony looked at Morgana who had suddenly appeared. He wanted to warn her when he heard Obadiah's voice, but when he saw her smile, words stuck in his throat. A cold shiver overtook him as he looked at Obadiah with pity, who was still laughing.
Morgana saw Obadiah raise his hand toward her. She knew he would kill her if she didn't react quickly. Still, she didn't panic or rush. She just calmly looked at him.
"Ah, uncle… how could you kill your beautiful niece?" she said, while behind her, hidden from Obadiah's sight, she activated the EMP.
Obadiah laughed when he heard her voice, but something was off when he saw her standing calmly, without a trace of fear. The next moment he saw her throw a metal ball the size of a tennis ball.
He thought it was a grenade, just as he was about to mock her "stupidity," suddenly everything around him went dark; the robot's interior lost power, except for a faint glow visible through the helmet.
Obadiah panicked, realizing the robot had suddenly stopped.
Morgana watched as the EMP landed beneath the robot, and as soon as it touched the ground, it sent out an electromagnetic pulse that disabled all electronics within a ten-meter radius.
She saw the huge robot falling. She quickly pulled out the revolver she had accidentally brought that day and fired a shot at the falling robot, hitting the energy source, the arc reactor.
All of it happened within two or three seconds. Morgana approached Tony, who had managed to reboot the system after the EMP blast, and lightly knocked on his helmet.
"Oyy, are you alive, brother?" Morgana said loudly, fearing Tony might not hear her. Still, if it weren't for her joking smile, someone might have thought she was genuinely concerned.
Tony heard her loud tone and could only open his helmet, resolving her so-called "doubts," because he knew she wouldn't stop until she got an answer.
When the helmet opened, Morgana looked at him and, seeing messy Tony, just gave a soft smile.
"I'm glad you're okay, brother."
Tony didn't even pay attention to her and instead spoke to Jarvis:
"Jarvis, what's the suit's condition?"
"Seventy-nine percent of the armor is damaged, over half the functions are not working."
"Hmm… how much energy is left?"
"Twelve percent."
While Tony and Jarvis talked, Morgana instead headed toward the silver robot with the open helmet, where Obadiah was.
"Well now, uncle… what should I do with you?"
"You tried to kill your own niece."
"Do you know that a young girl's heart breaks when her own uncle tries to kill her?" Morgana said in a falsely sad and scared tone, holding her hand over her heart.
Tony, who had come beside her, shivered from her voice, while Obadiah looked at them both with hatred, especially Morgana.
Morgana noticed his look and just smiled broadly, raising the revolver toward him. Obadiah panicked when he saw her move.
"Morgana, no… niece, you can't kill me!" he said in panic, fear on his face.
"I am your uncle, after all!"
Morgana stopped her movement for a moment, which Obadiah noticed immediately and tried to say more, but she interrupted him.
"You're right, uncle. How can I kill my own uncle?"
She looked at him, and he had a relieved expression on his face, as if he had just escaped death. That excited Morgana, then she just slightly shifted the revolver's direction and fired. She hit him right in the shoulder, making Obadiah scream loudly.
"Why?!" he asked with hatred, looking at Morgana, who now had an innocent expression, as if she had done nothing.
"Don't worry, uncle. It's a different kind of bullet. It will heal you. Don't you feel it?"
When he heard what she said, Obadiah actually started to feel his body regenerating, as if he had become thirty years younger.
Morgana saw the blissful expression on his face and let out a cold, short chuckle that sent a chill down Tony's spine. Everything was going in a completely unexpected direction.
While the three of them were talking, two black cars stopped a bit further away. From one of them, Pepper got out of the passenger seat and ran toward Tony, while from the driver's side came out a man with a friendly smile and walked toward them.
Morgana watched Tony calming the upset Pepper, then turned toward the unknown man who had approached her.
"And you are?" she asked.
"Agent Phil Coulson from S.H.I.E.L.D.," Coulson said politely, taking out his badge.
"Hoo."
Morgana looked at the badge with boredom, but then immediately noticed the familiar eagle emblem she had seen a few months ago. She curiously observed him from head to toe, then looked away, which confused Phil.
"Miss, can you tell me what happened here... "
"Stop. Ask my brother," Morgana interrupted and walked toward the place where she had parked the car.
After a few steps, she stopped, looked back at Phil, and asked:
"You'll be taking Obadiah instead of the police?"
"Yes…" Coulson answered, confused.
"Then I hope your people have strong minds. Adios," Morgana said, waved, and walked away, leaving Phil confused, staring at her back, unaware of what exactly she meant.
A few minutes later, Morgana stopped the car in front of Tony and Pepper, who were still standing amid the chaos.
"Need a ride?" she asked through the rolled-down window. Pepper accepted, while Tony flew off in his suit.
When they arrived at the villa, it was already night.
Morgana immediately lay down on the sofa, relaxing from the chaos that had happened tonight. Tony slowly came up from the basement and also sat across from her, while Pepper went to her room.
"Tell me, Morgana, what kind of bullet was that you fired?" Tony asked curiously, staring at Morgana who had her eyes closed.
Morgana slowly opened her eyes to look at him, then gently put her finger to her lips.
"Secret."
Tony just shook his head in defeat. The room went quiet.
"We didn't expect Obadiah to try to kill you," Tony said quietly, breaking the silence.
Morgana opened one eye and said:
"You mean you didn't expect it," Morgana corrected him.
"I always expected it. You know I had 'special eyes' when I was a child."
"Yeah, you always noticed things others couldn't," Tony replied softly.
"Tell me, sister… what did you see in me?" Tony asked, looking at Morgana, who stared at him after hearing the question.
"Light. A huge and warm light inside your body," Morgana answered after several minutes of silence.
The room fell silent again. Until Morgana broke it.
"You're probably wondering what I saw in myself," Morgana said, looking at Tony who had a curious expression.
"Nothing. Just emptiness," she said, leaving Tony confused.
"Emptiness?" Tony repeated suspiciously.
Morgana nodded and continued:
"According to my teacher, emptiness is between light and darkness. It can be justice or evil, and yet nothing."
"As he says: 'What you'll be in life, you'll decide yourself, instead of letting fate decide for you,'" Morgana quietly recounted, while Tony absorbed every word.
"I think you're on the light side," Tony said seriously, as Morgana looked at him.
"I think we both know that's not true," Morgana said in a bored tone, looking out the window at the night sky.
"To me, you're on the sacred side."
Morgana chuckled quietly when she heard Tony's serious and arrogant voice.
"Thanks, brother."
"I think you should rest. This has been exhausting for you," Morgana said gently and quietly, looking at Tony who had a tired expression on his face.
"It's nothing," Tony said arrogantly, but Morgana noticed a slight smile on his face, which made her smile.
'Justice, haa…'
Morgana looked at the starry night sky.
"Brother, you who have a heroic and righteous heart… I'm just a person who wants to survive in this crazy world," Morgana whispered silently.
While the brother and sister talked in a quiet and warm atmosphere, a horror was unfolding at another location.
