The door was opened to a crack from when Victoria had snuck in earlier. She couldn't shut it because she didn't want Janet to wake up. Aleesha had come to check on Victoria, asking her what she would like for breakfast. Victoria's room was empty, and she walked out, wondering where she had gone. That was when she heard her screaming from Darren's room, begging Janet to stop.
She was confused and wanted to get a complete picture of what was going on. Janet and Victoria were best friends, so they would likely be playing some kind of game. She found the door open, so she took a little peek, not like it would hurt anyone.
