The mountain range stretched far, lying beside the Canglan River.
The river flowed like a ribbon, the mountains were covered in greenery, and the bright sunshine filtered through the canopy, casting dappled shadows on the ground.

The branches and leaves swayed, as a plump, glossy-furred brown bear emerged from the forest and came to the river to drink water.
After taking just two sips, its nose twitched, as it vaguely sensed a hint of blood.
Following the scent for a few hundred meters, it saw a mutilated corpse on the ground, its fur stained dark red with blood, five tails trailing behind, and the body only half remaining, like it had been gnawed by a fierce beast.
The brown bear sniffed at the body, the smell was still fresh; it seemed to have died not long ago.
Having not eaten all night, its stomach growled, and without hesitation, it grabbed the corpse, opened its large mouth, gnawed, and swallowed the flesh and bones whole.
