Chapter 70 - 70. Avatar World

Chapter 70

My awakening was not a pleasant one. It felt like someone had stuck a bayonet of blessed silver into my stomach, and believe me, I know what I'm talking about, Anderson provided me with the experience I needed. And yet, I knew that my body was completely intact, and I felt how my naked body was touched by the warm skins on which I lay and, apparently, covered by them. And as soon as I opened my eyes, I saw a pure white ceiling made of compressed snow.

"Where am I?" I asked involuntarily.

"You're awake!" a cheerful girl's voice immediately rang out nearby, although, to be honest, I was a little tense that I didn't notice that someone was nearby.

Raising myself, not even remotely caring that I was naked, I looked at the speaker. It was a dark-skinned girl of 14 years old and honestly, you would have to be really stupid not to recognize such a remarkable hairstyle and style of clothing of the South Pole from one rather famous cartoon series.

- Katara? - I asked.

- Do you know me? - the girl's eyes widened. - So you really are a cat spirit?

"Huh, a cat spirit? So that's what they thought of me, funny." - I couldn't help but grin before wincing from the pain that pierced my body.

"What the hell did that bastard do to me? He couldn't do that in the Anime."

- And... um, do you understand me? - the girl asked uncertainly, apparently embarrassed by the fact that I was just sitting there half-naked without answering.

- Yeah, sorry, I was just lost in thought. - I quickly answered, getting to my feet.

- Katara, are you sitting next to that monster again?! - A voice of an irritated teenager was heard from the street, who seemed to be planning to enter the Igloo.

- Wait, Sokka! You can't come in here now! - the girl hurried to the exit.

- Why can't I? - the guy asked in bewilderment, entering through the door made of skins.

- Because she's naked... - Katara wanted to start scolding Sokka, pointing at me, but her words got stuck in her throat, because when she looked at me, she saw that I was already wearing the Hellsing uniform that had become familiar for a long time.

- Everything is fine with her, but because of you, I had to drag her on my back all the way to the village! - the guy complained.

- Well, I suppose it was your lucky day, because when else will a naked girl with cat ears snuggle up to you? - I said with a teasing smile. Was I afraid that he would grope me while I was unconscious? What can a minor virgin do under the watchful eye of his sister?

- Who needs you, creepy woman! Why the hell were you lying next to a corpse that looked more like ground meat than a human body! - the guy answered with cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

- Oh, now I understand why it hurt so much. - I nodded.

- Okay, thank you very much for your help, I'll pay you back later. And now I need to get back urgently. - I said and, before they could answer me, I tried to go back to my world just a little bit away from the place where Alucard was now beating up Incognito.

Do you know what's the key? I tried.

- BLUE. - As soon as I tried to teleport, I was pierced by incredible pain and a moment later I was already lying, doubled over in pain on the ground, vomiting blood.

- What the hell is going on!?

- I don't know!

I heard the excited voices of teenagers as if from afar, quickly losing consciousness.

The next day.

And again the same white ceiling, as well as the feeling as if a blessed bayonet had been stuck into my liver. And this time I was in no hurry to get up. To be honest, I was a little panicked. After all, the ability to travel between worlds is literally the most important ability of those I received. And now without it in another world, I feel like I'm trapped.

- And what should I do now? - I whispered, ignoring the presence next to me.

- First, eat. - an old voice answered me. - With how much blood you've lost, any person would already be lying in a coffin. You need to regain your strength.

- I'm not human.

- I know. - the elderly woman nodded.

- Here, try it. Believe me, you'll feel better.

A spoon with a small piece of fried fish was brought to me. I knew that after becoming a vampire, normal food was inedible for me, but for the first time in months, the aroma of food actually seemed extremely appetizing, so I still took a piece of fish in my mouth.

My cat ears instantly stood up straight, and I moved to a sitting position.

"I can taste it?! I can actually taste it!" - until that moment, I had no idea how much I missed normal food. So the next moment I was sitting and gobbling up the food offered to me at great speed.

"That was amazing! How did you cook it? Some kind of special technique? Magic?" I asked the giggling old lady excitedly, involuntarily wagging my tail.

"Nothing special. Just fish fried over a fire."

"Oh." It began to dawn on me how lucky I was with the world I had been thrown into. After all, if you think about it, in the world of Avatar, literally everything has a soul, as well as the energy associated with it.

"So it turns out that the Avatar world is a paradise for vampires!" - this information even managed to push aside the thoughts that I would not be able to return to Integra anytime soon.

- Thank you for the treat. - I thanked.

- You're welcome. - The old woman shook her head. - In my long life, I have never seen spirits like you. And I think your arrival is a good sign for our tribe.

- I see. - I nodded slowly before resolutely standing up. - Okay, I won't be ungrateful, so I think I can help you until I find a way to return home.

- Wait, you shouldn't get up yet, you've lost so much blood!

- Don't worry, I'm physically fine. You can expect me with the loot by evening. - I grinned, leaving the room.

Looking at the sun, which, judging by its position, will illuminate the southern belt for at least 80 days, I mentally prepared myself for pain and turned to my other ability, which allows me to see whatever I want.

- Phew, it works. - I sighed with relief when I was able to calmly find out the location of the nearest wild bear-dog.

- I wonder what it will taste like. - I smiled bloodthirstily before running at great speed towards my goal.
