"Why so stiff today? Are you headed somewhere? Don't tell me… You've got yourself a date?"
'Master Chengzhe, am I that easy to read?'

"Don't worry, it's fine" he put his hands up, the disciple before him looking awfully troubled and lowering her head like she had just committed a crime.

"I am not sure… Just ignore me for now, I'll have to ponder later…" the ancient spectre shook his head and urged Xiao to just focus on the matter at hand.
Xiao apologised for bumping into her once more before moving away, the disciple staring at his back and then sighing.
"Truly… Is everyone lining up today? You recovered pretty well from last night, Jingyi"
She instantly froze, needing multiple seconds before gathering the courage to look over her shoulder.
"E-E-Ed-Edrick…" she forced out, looking as pale as a sheet.
"That's indeed my name, I just so happened to run into one of your boyfriends, and he seemed to be very worried about you! Did he stop by to talk and notice that you were a scared little thing? Did he ask you how you were doing? And you answered that you were doing just great with a bright smile that is almost convincing but not quite, making him frown and make a 'mmh' sound? Am I correct?"
She didn't respond and just looked around.
"Shame, not a single soul around, could it be because I made sure that the other outer disciples on duty on this floor wouldn't show up? It's my bad, I guess! And not even any passerby, truly, the heaven must want it to happen, don't they?"
"Happen? W-What do you mean? Here? During the day?" Jingyi recoiled in fright, clutching the broom in her hand so hard that her hands turned even paler than normal.
