Chapter 58 - Putting A Beating

Barry watches in slow motion as the Man of Steel launches his whole body at him.

'Let's get this over with,' Barry thinks, and suddenly lifts his leg and kicks the Man of Steel's shin, which will lead him to trip and fall face first on the ground.

But before he falls, Barry walks behind him and waits for the fall.

*TINGGGG* As soon as his massive body falls, it makes a loud ringing sound, which shows that not only has his body now become metallic in nature, but his biomass has also increased, which is the cause of his superhuman strength.

Simple speed punches aren't going to do much to this guy. Barry will have to hit with very hard punches. He will have to hit this guy with punches that are faster than the speed of sound.

But then Barry thinks of something else. Since the guy is on a power high because of his recent strength gain, he will continue to be a menace until he is put in his place.

Luckily, he is durable enough to handle getting a little roughed up. Barry plans to do just that.

He grabs the Man of Steel's heavy leg and lifts it up. If not for his body constantly evolving by syphoning power from the speed force, he would not be able to lift this heavy man.

Barry sees the Man of Steel turn his head to look at him. Barry then gives him a smile and says, "Let me take you on a ride".

Saying so, The Flash enters Flash time, and the world around him stretches a little in his field of view, influenced by the Speed Force.

And then he begins running, dragging the hunk of metallic man against the ground.

Barry covers massive distances in an instant, but he keeps his speed under the speed of sound as he doesn't want to brutalize this man. Just some hurting should do enough to instill fear into him.

The man feels his thick head smack into the pavement multiple times as he is dragged throughout the city at super speed. He tries to put up a struggle to get himself free, but The Flash is running over seven hundred miles per hour.

Every time he moves a body part, it hits the ground, and he immediately loses control over that limb because of the sheer velocity that it just experienced.

Though the man is made of metal, he is feeling every hard bump, and he is getting hot, very hot, as the friction created from his metallic body being dragged against the hard pavement is generating a lot of energy.

After dragging the poor man across miles worth of distance, Barry brings him into one of the less populated areas of the city, near a warehouse, and tosses him up in the air.

As the Man of Steel starts to descend to the ground from the pull of gravity, Barry runs up to him and starts punching the ever-living hell out of him.

Of course, Barry is not going all out, but every punch he is throwing is faster than the speed of sound.

After getting repeatedly pummeled by fists that are traveling faster than the speed of sound multiple times, all across his body, the man of steel shoots into a wall, crashing and turning it into dust.

The Flash stops, sticks out his tongue, and bites down on it as he realizes he caused some unnecessary property damage. That last punch was a little too powerful.

"Uugghhh~ stop~ please~" the man of steel moans in pain as he crawls out of the rubble.

"I give up~ please stop~" he begs for mercy as the shiny coat that was all over him starts to fade, revealing his human self again.

Even though the guy took a lot of damage, there is not a single scratch on him. This dude is very durable, but that doesn't mean the Flash can't hurt him.

The Flash can definitely hurt him, and in so many brutal ways that Flash would get labeled as a war criminal if he did so.

But of course, Flash is a hero, and he would never intentionally hurt anyone.

Barry watches as the Man of Steel finally collapses from exhaustion and pain. 'I really did a number on him, didn't I?' Barry questions to himself as he turns around and tries to contact the team.

"Guys, anyone there?" he questions as he speaks into his earpiece. "Guys?" he questions again before he is finally answered.

"Ah, yes, Barry, I'm here, what's up?" Barry hears Cisco's voice.

"Cisco! Great, I just caught a Meta Human. Is the meta-human containment chamber ready?" Barry asks.

"What? You caught a Meta Human? What kind?" Cisco asks curiously.

"He can turn his whole body into some kind of metallic substance," Barry says.

"That's so fucking cool, dude! How did you stop him?" Cisco asks.

"Multiple supersonic punches," Barry answers, smiling as he hears the fascination in Cisco's voice.

"That's genius, of course. Every material has a natural limit. Supersonic punches could definitely compromise most metallic structures," Cisco says as Barry can hear him fidgeting with his computer.

"Cisco, we are getting off topic. Is the containment chamber ready?" Barry asks again.

"Of course, man, it's been ready for weeks, we just have not had a Meta-human sighting," Cisco says, crunching down on something in his mouth.

"Great, I will bring the Meta Human. Get the chamber ready," Barry says as he turns around, but his next words get stuck in his throat as he doesn't see any sign of the Man of Steel anywhere.

"Where did he go?" Barry questions. He lost focus on his target for a few seconds, and he disappeared.

"Na, na, no one's getting away from me," Barry says, entering Flash time and doing a very quick, thorough patrol of the entire area, but there is still no sign of the Man of Steel.

"Don't tell me he has super speed as well?" Barry questions, scratching his head, when he finally notices something.

An open manhole.

"No fucking way..." Barry says as he looks down the Manhole, and he is immediately assaulted with the worst kind of smell possible.

"Ya, I'm not going down there. Let's catch him the next time he surfaces," Barry says and zooms away.
