Lu Jinchen had many questions. Who was she thinking about that time? Why did those flowers trigger her to say such harsh words? What was she hiding? Was there another man in her past? But instead of asking, he just pulled Xia Yuqing into a tight hug. Her body stiffened slightly, but she didn't pull away.
"You said you're sorry," he murmured against her hair, "but shouldn't you apologize properly?"
Xia Yuqing blinked. "I already did," she said, confused.
Lu Jinchen looked down at her, pretending to be serious. "I didn't like it. There was no sincerity in your apology."
Her eyes narrowed. "I apologized sincerely. What more do you want?"
He smirked, tightening his grip on her waist and leaning in closer. "If you want to apologize sincerely… then use your body," he whispered. "That's the only apology I want."
Her face turned red instantly. "Lu Jinchen—you horny dog!" she shouted, glaring at him.
Lu Jinchen laughed softly. "Anyways, I'm your horny dog," he said proudly.
