Nova looked at Kiros, then reached out to touch one of them, but upon touching it, the shard's energy sent what almost felt like a burning shockwave through his arm, making him recoil, and Kiros flinched a bit.
He turned to look at Nova and saw that the tip of his index finger was red and slightly burned, and his brows furrowed at the sight, wondering just what more those things could do and whether or not they were truly as dangerous as the originals, or if not more so.
Nova blew at his finger so that it would cool down, since it felt as though it was on fire. "We may need to get rid of them all; they cannot be touched. This mission just got a lot more complicated."
Upon hearing what he said, Kiros glanced at him. He hated this, but Nova was right; they could not let these things get transported. At least now a part of their mission was complete: they found the real reason behind this base at this port, the real product they were so desperate to get out.
