After Delphine had left, Lacie threw a towel to Mila to dry her body from the water Delphine spilled on her earlier. Folding her arms, Lacie stood by the door. A look of annoyance marred her face, but mostly worry. She worried a lot for her sister.
"They won't stop coming, you know that," Lacie began. Her sister returning to Montclair and their company wasn't the best idea, but it wasn't something anyone could talk Mila out of, as she had already made up her mind.
Not just to find out who took her baby away from her, but to also punish each and every one of them for the time they made her suffer for no reason.
Mila wiped the side of her face, raising her phone to check her reflection. She took out a lip gloss from her bag, then touched her powder. "I know that alright, that they'll start coming," she replied, putting back down her phone.
