Chapter 50 - End of Volume: Author's Thoughts

Hey readers, how is it going?

Whew

There's a lot I could say—but let me start with this: I don't know exactly what you're feeling right now. I don't know if you're frustrated, excited, confused, or somewhere in between.

But I do know what I'm feeling. And I'd like to share that with you.

When I first began writing this story, I didn't realize I was mixing oil and water—two powerful elements: cultivation philosophy and game-system logic.

Both are compelling in their own right, but difficult to fuse naturally. And I didn't use an emulsifier—I just hoped it would somehow work.

I leaned into godlike metaphors and lofty themes, thinking they would hold the narrative together. But they didn't, not always. And I know that. I know some parts came off as sloppy, confusing, or indulgent.

But here's the thing:

I don't want to rewrite this story.

I don't want to repeat my past mistake of obsessing over the mess behind me.

I want to move forward—to fix by creating, not by erasing.

And what I learned the most through the process was that: Writing reveals voice.

The mess led me to clarity. The failure led me to cohesion. Somewhere between Dao, Wuwa, mundane, godly, and...

I found something honest. Not perfect, but true.

Mistakes happen. But instead of undoing them, I've chosen to grow from them. That's what Volume 4 will be: not a clean slate, but a continuation with clarity.

A new story in the same world—one that respects both the clear vision I now have and the universe of Wuthering Waves.

No more conflict between styles. No more dissonance. Just a narrative that stands tall on its own.

Thank you for reading—for sticking through the discord, the ambition, and the transition. If you're still here, even after all the chaos and contradictions, then do me a small favor: Leave a review.

Whether it's praise or critique, long or short—I truly want to know what worked, what didn't, what stayed with you.

Reviews help me understand what resonates, and at the end of the day, fiction exists to be shared, felt, and appreciated.

But if you do not want to give a review for nothing, how about a deal?

If I get at least 5 new reviews on this book, I'll share my UID (SEA server)—and we'll bond not just as writer and reader, but as fellow Wanderers.

Deal?

Haah, let it be, anyway, the real journey starts now.
