"Shut up!" Daniel suddenly roared, startling the whole crowd.
Everyone went silent right away. His voice cut through the air, and the mood turned heavy and cold.
"Mommy, what's happening?" Kane came out of his classroom, drawn by the noise.
When he saw Chantelle's pale face, he quickly ran to her and held her hand.
Chantelle's mind drifted back to six years ago.
Back then, she waited for Daniel until midnight almost every night. But every time he came home, he didn't say a word to her. He just walked past her and locked himself in his room.
Chantelle had no idea Daniel despised her that much. She always thought he was just busy with work because he was the CEO of the Wilson Group Of Companies. She didn't know he was avoiding her on purpose.
All of a sudden, Chantelle struggled to breathe. She clutched her chest and turned to leave.
