Chantelle checked the tracker on her phone. Stephanie's signal was still inside the room. She realized Stephanie must be using her invisibility cloak.
"Stephanie, come out now, or I'm taking that cloak away."
A few seconds later, Stephanie suddenly appeared to Daniel's right.
Daniel's expression turned cold, and a heavy tension filled the room. He was obviously gone mad. Stephanie quickly hid behind Chantelle as she was scared to face him.
Noticing Stephanie's fear, Daniel softened his expression. He looked at her and asked softly, "Where's Rai?"
Stephanie pressed the red button on her wrist. In the next second, Railer appeared beside her.
"Rai, come here. Let me see you," Daniel said. He had raised Railer, but he hadn't really been there for him. Most of the time, it was Kate who looked after the boy.
That alone made Daniel feel really guilty. That's why he was always extra gentle with Railer. After what happened today, he just wanted to comfort him even more.
