"I can't believe I did that…" she mumbled, her voice muffled in the cotton.

"That's not even the reason!" Claire yelled inside her head, gripping the edge of the pillow. Her face felt like it was on fire—not from embarrassment about what they'd done, but from how she'd behaved. Wild. Bold. Unfiltered. There were flashes in her mind—her lips tracing his jaw, her nails dragging down his back—and she groaned louder.
Leon's voice mellowed, his laughter softening into a chuckle. "I'm not complaining," he said gently, leaning down closer. "Drug or not… I love that crazy side of you."
