Chapter 246: Steam Impetus Bomb vs. C3. No. 18
Ino felt a pang of guilt inside. Meeting the 'real' thing when you're the 'fake' can be a little unnerving.
But then she shook her head, realizing her mindset was all wrong. What am I afraid of? she thought. I'm the real me here right now, not just some 'alt account' in a black cloak with red clouds. As long as I don't use Explosive Clay, there's nothing to worry about. Far from being afraid, she actually held the intelligence advantage! This was the standard thought process for a ninja on a mission. Everything prioritized the mission. Forget explosions, even if the moon fell from the sky, theoretically, they were supposed to stay focused on their task. Ninjas were, in a sense, tools for the mission.
Shikamaru and Choji obeyed without question. Naruto, however, couldn't suppress the curiosity in his heart. He was very interested in the sudden explosions. The four of them, along with the young master of That Country, quickly departed the capital of This Country. Although called a capital, it was really little more than a town. Deidara and Ino simultaneously formed the 'Tiger' hand seal.
"Alright!"
"Clack!"
Countless clay spiders and water bubbles collided in the air. Earth beats Water, but Ino's water bubbles contained Oil Conversion Chakra, so they weren't completely vulnerable to the elemental weakness. Explosions sounded one after another. Some clay bombs didn't hit the bubbles but were ignited anyway. The result was firelight filling the sky, and the continuous explosions left the residents of This Country dizzy and lightheaded. Some elderly people knelt on the ground, holding their heads and wailing.
The intense light from the explosions made both sides of the battle look sideways in surprise. Deidara was slightly taken aback. Out of the smoke and dust surged a big blonde fatty, a smile playing on his lips. A large amount of water nature chakra swirled within his body, while the surface was coated in a layer of hot oil. The hot oil continuously heated the water nature chakra inside, the steam causing the big blonde fatty's size to rapidly increase and providing him with extremely strong mobility. This thing wasn't just flying; its speed was incredibly fast!
"What in the world is that?!" Lord Sasori instinctively felt this ninjutsu was unusual and extremely deadly. He quickly asked his companion.
Deidara was both angry and anxious. As an explosion fanatic, he had heard the Third Tsuchikage talk about the Steam Impetus Bomb technique multiple times and was deeply impressed. Seeing the 'Fatty Ino' now, he felt an extreme sense of danger. He ordered the giant clay bird to accelerate, attempting to shake off this massive bomb.
