Chapter 20 - Beach breakfast [3] I

Manaka was holding the Breakfast basket in one hand, and in the other, he held Sayaka's hand. She happily hummed a little tune, swinging their joined hands playfully as they walked along the sunlit shore. The scent of salt and fresh sea breeze filled the air, blending with the warmth of the morning sun.

Behind them, Kyoko trailed along, munching on a bag of cookies like it was the only thing keeping her alive. her was a little oversized for her but she seemed to like that better. She glanced at Manaka and Sayaka and then said. "Sayaka...you would have to share him later. I want to continue my nap under an umbrella while I obtain my warm pillow"

Sayaka smirked, glancing over her shoulder at Kyoko. "Oh? Possessive much?"

Kyoko took another bite of her cookie, chewing lazily. "Tch. Not possessive, just practical. Manaka makes a great pillow, and I fully intend to use that to my advantage."

Manaka chuckled, shifting the basket in his hand. "So I'm just a pillow to you now?"

Kyoko shaked her head. "Nah. just want to feel something warm and comfortable, I just want to be clingy, Don't know, I think I just want some comfort...but it's confusing since I don't exactly know what I want, I guess I want to be loved and pampered if that makes any sense"

Manaka glanced at Kyoko, his expression softening at her words. He knew she wasn't the type to be openly vulnerable, and the fact that she was admitting something like this—even in her usual nonchalant way—meant a lot.

Sayaka slowed her steps a little, her teasing smile fading into something gentler. She squeezed Manaka's hand before letting go, stepping back so she was walking beside Kyoko instead.

"Well, you big dummy," Sayaka said, nudging Kyoko lightly with her elbow, "if you want love and pampering, you should just say so. No need to dance around it."

Kyoko scrunched her nose, looking away. "Tch, saying it outright is embarrassing."

Manaka smiled, shifting the basket to his other hand so he could ruffle Kyoko's messy red hair. "You know you don't have to act tough all the time, right?"

Kyoko grumbled, but instead of pushing his hand away like she usually might, she leaned into it ever so slightly. "Yeah, yeah, don't make a big deal out of it."

Sayaka rolled her eyes but grinned. "Too late. Anyway, if you want pampering, just say the word. You know we're here for you."

Kyoko huffed. "Fine. Then I'm cashing in my pampering now. After breakfast, I'm taking a nap, and I expect head pats and maybe some snacks when I wake up."

"You're cute as always" Kyoko froze mid-step, her brain clearly short-circuiting at Manaka's words. The tips of her ears turned red almost instantly, and the cookie she had been about to bite into stopped just shy of her mouth.

Sayaka, on the other hand, smirked like a shark smelling blood. "Oh ho? Did you just call her cute?"

Manaka, completely unfazed, simply nodded. "Yeah, she is. Especially when she's being honest like this."

Kyoko finally snapped out of her daze, stuffing the cookie into her mouth as she turned her face away, trying to act like it didn't affect her. But the growing blush on her cheeks told another story. "Sh-Shut up. I wasn't trying to be cute."

Manaka chuckled. "Hmmm well it seems you don't need my pampering then"

Kyoko swallowed her cookie a little too quickly, coughing as she glared at him. "Oi, don't go making decisions like that on your own! I still want my nap and my head pats."

Sayaka laughed, throwing an arm around Kyoko's shoulders. "Oh? So now you do want the pampering? What happened to not being cute?"

Kyoko groaned, pushing Sayaka off with a half-hearted shove. "You're both insufferable."

Manaka just smiled, shaking his head. "Alright, alright. Nap, head pats, snacks. Got it."

Kyoko grumbled something under her breath, but the way her shoulders relaxed showed she was pleased.

The three of them continued walking along the beach, the sound of waves lapping at the shore filling the comfortable silence between them. Sayaka suddenly perked up. "Oh! That reminds me—do we have any game to play, it would be boring for Madoka, Homura and Mami to just stay in one place, Bebe might also start eating random things and saying it is cheese."

Manaka gave her a look. "I planned for that."

Sayaka raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? Do tell, oh mighty planner."

Manaka lifted the breakfast basket slightly with a smug little smile. "Not only does this basket contain a beachside feast fit for queens, but I also packed a few surprises. Card games, a beach ball, and—" he paused dramatically, "—a scavenger hunt."

Kyoko perked up immediately. "Wait, seriously? You made a scavenger hunt?"

"Yup," Manaka said, clearly proud of himself. "Little riddles hidden in shells, bottles, and shady spots along the beach. Some have snacks, some have dares, some just lead to pretty places. Thought it'd be a fun way to keep everyone moving."

Sayaka's eyes lit up. "That's actually a great idea!"

Kyoko, now chewing more slowly, tilted her head. "Wait. What kind of dares?"

Manaka winked. "Mild ones. Fun ones. Maybe something like… 'Give someone a compliment.' Or 'Hold someone's hand for a minute.' Nothing crazy. Just stuff to make the morning more lively."

Sayaka clapped her hands together. "You absolute genius. That's perfect! Madoka will love it. Mami will get way too into it. Homura'll act like she doesn't care but secretly try to solve every clue first. And Bebe will absolutely eat one of the clue papers."

Kyoko snorted. "We better put the edible-looking clues up high."

Manaka laughed. "Noted."

They walked a little farther until a cluster of colorful parasols and beach towels came into view in the distance—Madoka's cheerful voice faintly drifting over the wind, with Mami's gentle laughter and Homura's calm tones mixing in. Bebe was already bouncing around with something unidentifiable in her mouth, yelling something about camembert.

Manaka sighed fondly. "Looks like the others already set up camp."

Sayaka smirked. "Race you there."

Kyoko grinned. "Too easy."

She broke into a sprint, Sayaka immediately chasing after her with a gleeful yell.

Manaka blinked at the sudden burst of lenergy he smirked and just appeared in the middle of the three. "Hey sis, Hello Emo Sister In-law, Hello Mami and Bebe"

Homura blinked, startled as Manaka appeared out of thin air beside them, her hand halfway to her cup of tea. "Teleporting again?" she asked, voice as flat as ever—but the slight upward tug at the corner of her mouth betrayed her amusement.

Madoka turned, beaming. "Manaka! You're here!" She ran up and gave him a warm hug without hesitation, almost knocking the breakfast basket from his hands. "And Sayaka and Kyoko too?"

"They're right behind me," Manaka said, steadying the basket with one arm while returning the hug. "Though I think Kyoko's trying to win a race she started herself."

Sure enough, a red-haired blur barreled toward them, sand spraying behind her. "Move! I win!" Kyoko yelled triumphantly as she flopped dramatically onto the nearest beach towel, arms spread like she'd just won a marathon.

Sayaka arrived a few seconds later, panting but grinning. "You cheated! You had a head start!"

Kyoko gave her a thumbs up from her sun-dazed sprawl. "Work smarter, not harder."

Homura simply glanced at the two before she continue what she was doing.

Manaka chuckled and sat beside kyoko. "You're smart?.".

Kyoko playfully placed a hand on her chest. "Ah, you're calling me dumb, how sad."

Manaka rolled his eyes, they seemed a bit happy in this place, mensuration would be their vacation place...but he sometimes wondered of he should just take them to other worlds beside that, maybe the other world Yog introduced to him.

What was it called again...ah?!! He remembered it was something like Ruby.

She said there was an Immortal witch named Salem their which at first piqued his interest but quickly got bored as he listened that the world is unstable and abandoned by their creators.

His name represents liberating witches back to their original forms as humans which periodically meas stripping them of their powere and name making them be reborn in another body....but honestly, he felt like that was too much work ,hence why he devoured his own name.

'Salem, the infinite Yachiron'

Seeing his pondering state, Sayaka sat down next to him staring at him for a few seconds before a mischievous smile appeared on her face. "...so, when are we getting married~."

Manaka blinked. "Huh?, what kind of question is that, I'm too young for marriage."

"Aren't you like a million or something." Kyoko who was on the ground asked teasingly.

Manak raised an eyebrow. "My body is but my mind is still young and besides you two are both fifteen now, wait three more years and I'll consider taking you both in, also Madoka stop eavesdropping with Homura, be like mami, she is playing with Bebe."
