Chapter 149 - Dealing with Hiruko Kagetane & Tendo Kikunojo

— — — — — —

Seitenshi hesitated for a moment, unsure how to respond.

Suddenly—

BOOM!!

"Keh keh keh~!"

The roof of the conference room exploded without warning. A man in a red tailcoat and a creepy white smiling mask crashed down onto the center of the conference table.

"I know what's inside the container!"

"Who the hell—?!"

The crowd instantly panicked and backed off, their expressions wary. Standing beside the masked freak was a little girl wielding two swords—an Initiator, clearly ready to fight.

"My name is—"

Before the masked man could finish his dramatic intro, Renzo flashed above him in a blink.

WHAM!

With a single move, Renzo smashed the man's head straight into the table, shattering it completely and driving him deep into the stone floor below. The room froze.

"Bastard! Get off my dad!!"

The twin-blade girl, Hiruko Kohina, roared and shot forward like a bullet, slashing at Renzo's neck with incredible speed.

She looked absolutely fierce.

...And way too cute to be that deadly.

Renzo simply turned and glared. "Sit. Down."

In the next second, Kohina was frozen in midair, locked in place by his psychic energy, unable to move a muscle—still frozen in her angry-chibi-attack pose.

Gasps echoed through the room.

Even Seitenshi and Kikunojou on the screen narrowed their eyes in surprise.

"What kind of ability is that? Some kind of tech?"

"Doesn't feel like it… no energy readings at all!"

The crowd buzzed with speculation.

Meanwhile, Renzo crouched down and looked at the masked man now crushed beneath his boot.

"Seriously, why'd you have to act tough in front of me? Come on, Hiruko Kagetane, just tell me—what are you here for?"

He activated his psychic hypnosis.

"What?! That guy's Hiruko Kagetane? The enhanced soldier? He was ranked as high as 134 back in the day!"

"He's a monster… and this Renzo just casually floored him like that?"

Everyone was shocked.

Then they looked at Renzo again—the one who stomped a former top-ranked mercenary into the floor like he was nothing.

"Who the hell is this guy?!"

But Renzo didn't care about the whispers.

Under hypnosis, Hiruko Kagetane began spilling everything like a broken faucet—his deal with Kikunojo, the mission, and the entire setup behind this event.

The room went dead silent. Every single person slowly turned to stare at the screen...

At Kikunojou, who was standing beside Seitenshi.

Even Seitenshi herself looked stunned.

"You filthy liar! That's all nonsense! Guards! Kill that man now!" Kikunojou snapped.

"And kill Renzo too! He's clearly in on this! Do it!!"

He was practically frothing with rage.

But Renzo just stared at the screen and smirked. "Getting nervous, old dog? Losing your mind already?"

"Shut up!!"

Kikunojou yelled like a madman.

"Why are you all just standing there?! He's your top target now—take him down!!"

Seitenshi, trembling, looked at Kikunojou with disbelief.

"Lord Kikunojou… is it true? Was this really all your plan? But why? Tokyo is our home too… why would you do this?"

She couldn't understand it.

Why couldn't people just live in peace?

Why would someone like Kikunojou betray them all?

Yes, Seitenshi was just that innocent and naïve. Bright and clean, even in the darkest dirt.

She wasn't pretending—she really was just that sweet and kind-hearted.

"SHUT UP!!"

Kikunojou completely lost it, barking at her with no restraint.

Seitenshi stumbled and collapsed back into her seat, terrified.

"Tch tch," Renzo clicked his tongue mockingly. "... Losing your temper already, old dog? Too bad for you... today's the day you meet your end. You're finished. I'm calling it."

With that, Renzo sent a mental shockwave that instantly knocked Hiruko Kagetane unconscious. Then, with a wave of his hand, Hiruko Kohina floated toward him. He reached out and pressed a finger on her head, and she passed out as well.

A flicker of light passed through Renzo's eyes—his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan activated. He cast a powerful ocular technique, which stored both Hiruko and his daughter inside a confined, otherworldly space about a few square meters wide.

He turned to Tendo Kisara and Aihara Enju and gestured. "Come on, you two."

"What are you up to now?" Kisara asked, still a bit stunned from witnessing the father-daughter duo vanish into thin air.

Enju clung to Renzo's hand curiously. "Renzo! Where did you take them?"

"I'll explain later."

"Now, I'm taking you to get revenge."

With that, Renzo grabbed both of their hands, and in a blink, they vanished from the room.

Everyone left behind just stared at each other, completely baffled.

"What the hell just happened?"

"Was that... some kind of tech or... something else?"

Rentaro: "..."

This guy just ditched me and Midori to run off with his two waifus?! I can't believe this!

"Rentaro, look at the screen!" Midori tugged his sleeve.

"Huh?" Rentaro looked where she was pointing and instantly blurted, "Wait, WHAT?! Did they just jump into the screen?!"

Sure enough, Renzo, Kisara, and Enju were now standing right next to Seitenshi on the display.

Everyone nearby stared at Rentaro like he was dumb.

Of course, they didn't jump into a TV, dude. They teleported to where Seitenshi was!

Still, even that was wild enough to shock the whole crowd. The meeting hall was hundreds of meters away from Seitenshi's residence. That was full-on space teleportation.

"Man, if we had a method like that..."

"Stop dreaming. You think he'd sell it to you if he did?"

"...Fair point."

People could only chuckle bitterly.

---

Meanwhile, Renzo, Kisara, and Enju popped into existence right in front of Seitenshi and Tendo Kikunojo, making both of them jump.

Seitenshi was shocked. Kikunojo, though, was clearly terrified.

He instinctively backed away a few steps, raising a trembling finger toward the three of them, trying to say something but failing to form words.

"Tch. Trash," Renzo scoffed, then turned to Kisara. "This old dog's all yours. After this, I'll help you hunt down the rest of your scumbag relatives."

"Thanks. I've been waiting a long time for this."

Kisara nodded, placing a hand on her sword at her hip. Her eyes locked on Kikunojo, brimming with fury.

"Old man! The debt of my parents' blood is due today!"

"You can't kill me! I'm your grandfather!" Kikunojo shouted, trying to play the family card.

But that card was long expired.

To Kisara, he was nothing but a monster.

"Grandfather? Hah! Don't make me laugh," Kisara sneered, her voice growing colder with every word.

"When you let the Gastrea attack my parents for your so-called interests, when you let that monster take my kidney as a child—did you remember you were my grandfather? My father's father?"

Her voice was filled with bitter hatred.

Nothing he could say would change what was coming.
