Chapter 93 - Chapter 93: Ash's Strength

"Primeape. Focus your ripple energy into your fist. Then drive it into the enemy's body. Don't let them notice. So you must be able to assess the level of damage inflicted on the enemy yourself."

"Roar" (Understood)

"Alright, let's start practicing G-depth now."

"Roar"

Watching Ash and Primeape begin their training, Suzy smiled and said, "Just like always, training together with Pokémon."

"Has Ash always trained with Pokémon since the beginning?" Misty was quite curious about Ash's past life. Meanwhile, Suzy nodded and said, "Yes, at the gym, Ash and Pikachu would train together."

"Uh..."

Upon hearing 'gym,' Brock beside him instantly collapsed as if all his strength had been drained, leaving Misty and Suzy puzzled. Meanwhile, Meowth and the others smirked slightly—the fitness paradise was clearly Brock's kryptonite.

"Hitmon! Hitmon!"

'Old lady, it seems he wants to challenge us?'

Looking at the Hitmonchan before him, Ash turned to Primeape and asked, 'Shall we go for it?'

After glancing at Hitmonchan, Primeape shook his head.

"Roar" (He's not in a condition to fight me right now, you should be able to see that.)

"Indeed. The constant high-intensity training has left Hitmonchan with many hidden injuries. Fighting him now would do him more harm than good. Hitmonchan, you should understand that your hidden injuries make you unfit for battle, right?"

Hearing Ash's words, Hitmonchan silently lowered his fists. He knew his own body well. But the moment he saw Ash's Primeape, he couldn't resist the urge to challenge it.

"Are you saying there's something wrong with my training?"

At that moment, a guy with a thick chin appeared, glaring at Ash with displeasure. Ash, equally annoyed, retorted, "Your training methods are flawed to begin with—you don't even understand the balance between work and rest. Just from this, I can tell you're the type who neglects family. I have nothing more to say to someone like you." "What did you just say? Then let's settle this with a battle—your Primeape against my Hitmonchan!"

Shaking his head at the burly man before him, Ash turned to his Primeape and said, "Alright, Primeape, show him just how foolish he is. And while you're at it, make him realize how many hidden injuries his Hitmonchan is carrying."

"Roar" (Understood)

"Go, Hitmonchan! Use Agility!"

"Take a deep breath, then assume a defensive stance!"

As Hitmonchan rapidly closed in on Primeape, Ash's Primeape adopted a defensive stance. Once Primeape was in position, Hitmonchan suddenly found itself unable to land a single hit.

"Go, Hitmonchan! Use Mach Punch!"

"Hitmon!"

Upon hearing the command, Hitmonchan swiftly threw a punch at Primeape. However, the attack was easily deflected by Primeape's fist, and Ash remarked, 'Aim for his weak spot. Don't hit too hard—just let him realize his own issues.'

A glint flashed in Primeape's eyes as it struck Hitmonchan's arm, then swiftly followed up with a hit to its leg. Each time Primeape landed a blow, Hitmonchan winced in pain.

"Don't stop, Primeape! Keep him immobilized—attack, ORA him!"

"Ora ora ora ora ora!"

As Primeape's fist attacks created afterimages, Hitmonchan could only passively endure the blows, for each strike targeted his hidden injury points.

"Hitmonchan, counterattack now!"

Ash scoffed and said, 'Still don't get it? Because of the hidden injuries, your Hitmonchan has already lost the ability to fight back. Now, final blow, Primeape!'

"Roar!"

"Stop! Don't hurt Dad's Pokémon anymore!"

Just as Primeape's final blow was about to hit Hitmonchan, a girl rushed out, while Ash placed his hand on Primeape's shoulder.

"Stop, don't hurt anyone by mistake."

When Ash's hand rested on Primeape's shoulder, Primeape smoothly retracted its power.

"Roar?" (Master, is that...?)

Ash could tell from Primeape's confused expression what it wanted to ask.

"A true martial artist must learn to control their power with precision. You still have much to learn."

"Growl" (Understood.)

Seeing that Primeape understood, Ash turned to the girl and said disapprovingly, 'Don't you know how dangerous that is?'

"I'm sorry! But I couldn't just watch my dad's Hitmonchan get hurt."

Meanwhile, the burly man looked at the girl in surprise and said, 'Rebecca?'
