Bai Jin, moved and a little overwhelmed, said, "My Lady, I actually haven't accomplished anything and already felt much guilt. Your Ladyship not blaming this disciple is already great compassion and mercy; I dare not and should not accept any reward."
Lady Ping Xin, displeased, said: "What, do you look down upon my gifts?"
Bai Jin stated resolutely, "Anything bestowed by Your Ladyship, even if it were a single stone or blade of grass, is a supreme treasure to this disciple."
Lady Ping Xin said with a smile, "How could mere grass or trees come from my hand? Tell me! What would you like?"
Bai Jin hesitated for a moment before smiling and saying, "My Lady, this disciple wishes to transplant some Other Shore Flowers to cultivate in my garden."
Lady Ping Xin said nonchalantly, "If you want them, just help yourself; that's hardly considered a reward."
"Otherwise, Your Ladyship, please give whatever you will; I truly don't know what to ask for," Bai Jin said helplessly.
