The people standing in front of the door held their breath together and slowly walked deeper into the base. At first, they only encountered land without any sign of life, but after some time, they finally spotted new buildings, which were very beautiful and new.
The wide and clean streets were lined with neatly arranged modern buildings on both sides. The walls were silver-gray with a metallic cold light, and most importantly, all of the floor was brightly lit, just like before the apocalypse.
"Oh my god..." someone murmured, as if in a dream, "Is this... really electricity?"
The survivors who just walked in were like children from the countryside who came to the city. They couldn't see everything. Some of them looked up at the buildings in a daze, and some of them didn't even dare to take a step, as if they were afraid that a step would shatter this dream.
