Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: Shatter the Distortion World

Everyone present had already become infected hosts, so naturally, no one objected to Lucius's proposal.

"But how exactly are we supposed to return?" Mustard voiced the question that had been on everyone's mind.

"The Distortion World," Cynthia answered, well-versed in Sinnoh's mythology, "is often considered the shadow of the real world. There is no life here—only one ruler: Giratina, said in legend to be the shadow of Arceus. If we want to return, our only option is to go through Giratina."

"But this world is just as vast as the real one—how are we supposed to find it?" another asked.

The group began discussing the issue. Even Cynthia, the most knowledgeable among them, only knew fragments of the myth. As for how to summon Giratina, she was at a total loss.

"It's not as complicated as it seems," Lucius said calmly. "All we need to do… is smash this place apart."

Giratina rules this world—this is its home. If someone starts wrecking its home, wouldn't it be forced to respond?

The others quickly understood what he meant, but their expressions suggested they thought he had lost his mind.

"Relax. We have over forty Champion-tier Pokémon. Even if we can't win, we definitely won't be helpless. If Giratina refuses to negotiate, we'll tear the Distortion World apart," Lucius said with conviction.

He knew very well that although the Distortion World and the real world are distinct, they also affect each other.

In the original canon, when Dialga and Palkia clashed, the real world was damaged—and so was the Distortion World. Giratina, enraged by the destruction, emerged to confront Dialga.

By the same logic, if they caused massive destruction here, the real world would feel the ripples too.

The goal of the mythic Pokémon wasn't to destroy the world—it was to eradicate human civilization and technology. So if the real world began to collapse, they would have to intervene.

Although Lucius's plan sounded crazy, they had no better option.

The sheer force of dozens of Champion-level Pokémon attacking at once was unimaginable to any average Trainer.

Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Solar Beam, Frenzy Plant, Hydro Cannon, Zap Cannon, Draco Meteor, G-Max Cannonade, Burn Up—devastating area-of-effect moves were launched en masse, bombarding the environment.

Beams and blasts of all colors ripped through the Distortion World, as though an apocalyptic earthquake had erupted across the fabric of the realm.

Flames, ice, lightning, and draconic power clashed and collided, churning into a single, chaotic storm of annihilation that shredded even air molecules into atoms. The void itself cracked and screamed, unleashing jagged black lightning.

But this was no lightning. These were the cracks of space—unable to bear the weight of such wild, unrestrained energy.

Not even Lucius, nor the other elite Trainers, had ever seen power like this.

No one on Earth had ever witnessed dozens of Champion-level Pokémon strike in perfect unison—this was devastation on a mythic scale.

Under such might, even supercities like Saffron City or Castelia City wouldn't last a second. They would be vaporized instantly.

Just as the maelstrom of destruction peaked, the void split open. A deep, pitch-black portal formed in the air.

From that abyssal portal came an overwhelming gravitational force, sucking in the cataclysmic energy like a whale gulping down an ocean current.

Lucius and the others watched as arcs of energy crackled violently across the portal's edges, pulled in by this unseen force.

At last, their madness had summoned the master of this world.

Or rather, Giratina, who had been silently observing from the shadows, could remain silent no longer.

Lucius immediately ordered all Pokémon to halt. They waited in tense silence as the dark vortex absorbed the remaining energy.

It took nearly a full minute—proof that even for the Renegade Pokémon, redirecting such destructive power wasn't easy.

"Greetings, King of the Distortion World," Lucius addressed the glowing red eyes—each as large as a moon—emerging from the darkness.

"You humans will pay for your unforgivable actions," a deep, resonant voice echoed inside their minds.

"We're truly sorry," Lucius said sincerely. "But the real world is facing a catastrophic threat. We had no other way to summon you."

Despite Lucius's respectful tone, Cynthia and the others couldn't help but roll their eyes at the absurdity of it all.

From within the black vortex, shadows stirred.

Then came the form—massive, majestic, terrifying.

Giratina, the master of the Distortion World, finally revealed its true self. No one here—human or Pokémon—had ever seen it in person.

Its serpentine body stretched over 100 meters long. Six ghostly, ribbon-like wings floated behind its back, their tips blood-red. Six pointed protrusions flanked its sides, and four golden spikes jutted from near its tail.

Lucius recognized this as Giratina's Origin Forme, which would shift into its Altered Forme upon entering the real world.

"Lord of the Distortion World," Lucius began again. "The Mythical Pokémon are trying to provoke an all-out war between humans and Pokémon. If this continues, it will bring ruin not just to the real world—but to your world as well."

Giratina didn't strike immediately, which meant it was at least cautious about the group's strength. That was exactly why Lucius had ordered all Champion-tier Pokémon to attack earlier—to demonstrate their qualifications to even speak to a god.

If you want to negotiate, you must first prove you are worthy of negotiation.

"With just your group, how could you possibly stop them?" Giratina asked with disdain.

Even after seeing their collective might, it still doubted they could challenge Lugia and Ho-Oh.

"Maybe we can't—alone," Lucius admitted. "But there are other Trainers in the real world, just as strong as us. If we work together, we might stand a chance."

"Oh? Then I have all the more reason to trap you here. Maybe I should kill you right now," Giratina said coldly, clearly favoring the side of the Mythical Pokémon.

"But what would you gain by doing that?" Lucius smiled faintly. He switched to psychic transmission, speaking directly into Giratina's mind. "They must have promised you something, right? Perhaps… a chance to become king of the real world?"

Lucius waited. Giratina didn't reply—but it didn't deny it either.

"You possess eternal life and unrivaled power," Lucius said carefully, watching every twitch in Giratina's body. "But surely, you don't want to be imprisoned forever in a lifeless realm with no souls, no dreams, and no destiny."

"If you let us go back… I promise you—I'll make you the King of All Pokémon."

Giratina suddenly let out a loud, bone-rattling laugh that echoed through the shattered skies.

"Hahahahaha…" Giratina suddenly burst into laughter, as if it had just heard the most ridiculous joke in the world. "You promised to make me the King of All Pokémon? Hahaha…"

Giratina threw its head back and roared with laughter, its serpentine body—stretching over a hundred meters—undulating in the air. Even the surrounding atmosphere rippled with distortion under its overwhelming presence.
