When Noran returned to his office, the sight that greeted him immediately caught his attention. Shuri was comfortably seated on the leather couch, leisurely enjoying some snacks gifted by his employees, her phone in hand as she messaged someone.
A variety of gifts, mostly from male employees, were piled up on the table, seemingly displayed for him to see. His expression turned cold as his gaze swept over the gifts, knowing full well that they were attempts by his employees to court her.
However, his expression softened as Shuri got up from the couch and approached him with her usual grace.
"You've worked hard, Ran," she said softly, her voice filled with warmth.
Noran couldn't help but reply with a hint of sarcasm, "I see you're working hard on your popularity too."
Shuri giggled at his comment, sensing the subtle jealousy in his tone.
"Your employees are such nice people. I can't turn them down, you know," she teased, holding a cracker she had taken a bite out of.
