Chapter 25 - ADVENTURE BEGINS

It had been no more than 12 hours on the boat, and the sailor had already had enough of Alloy's excitement, her questions ran through her mind and mouth the same way they did when she was last with Soran. She was ecstatic, and it was a new experience, only this time, instead of jumping up and down, she had a smile that ran from ear to ear and as beautiful as she was, Ron, a young sailor who helped her leave, found it unsettling.

"Could you stop that?? It's creepy, it has been, for 16 hours!!" He exclaimed.

"We just met 16 hours ago, and do you remember what happened in the first four??" She said.

"You expect me to watch you look like that for a journey to a location I specifically advised you not to go to?? Why??"

"Because I saved you."

"I WOULDN'T HAVE NEEDED SAVING IF YOU DIDN'T STEAL MY BOAT!!"

"But we can't go back, can we??" She asked.

He sighed, aware that he at least gets to see his family again thanks to the strange girl aboard his boat.

Being that not every person on the world has drifts, some of the population like Ron, Soran, and even Naja, are regular, normal, humans who built their strength differently. As for their use of comm-crystals, they were built to emit heat, allowing everyone to manage use of them. For picking calls, they would only need to caress the rune engravings with their finger and it would connect, it's just…. drifts were faster. Anyway, Up until 16 hours ago, he was a perfectly normal fisherman, going out to sea, getting fish, and coming right back home to sell and cook them, today was clearly different, while he was relaxing in his boat in the docks of Korra, he heard a racket that involved his boat being rowed out of the shaded area into the sea, coupled with that, he removed the sheets that he used to cover his whole body with just to see a woman with hair darker than he's ever seen before, trying to row a boat as fast as she could, the next sight he saw was balls of fire and spears being thrown at the boat, one managed to hit a part of the boat, luckily not the bottom, and two others followed, scared and confused, he shouted. "WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT IS GOING ON??!!"

Alloy shrieked and jumped out of shock before she quickly remembered her situation, and continued rowing.

"I didn't know there was anyone here!!" She shouted. "I'm Alloy!!"

"Alloy??!! The King Zedlis' daughter??!!" He wailed, shocked even more.

"No!!" Alloy quickly replied. "It's just a coincidence!! I'm used to it, not most people have seen her anyway…"

"Is that right??" He crossed his hands.

"Y… Yeah…"

"So… what would a girl, who looks exactly like the Alloy Ariel, who is the king's daughter, and also happens to be chased by what looks like The Arcane Syndicate themselves!! Be doing out here??"

"The sarcasm was unnecessary." She said.

"So were the lies. Can you cover me so I can at least row while you deal with them?? You seem able to defend yourself quite a bit."

She handed the paddles to the man and stood up, she formed a katana on her right hand and held it across her chest. The sword's shadows got slightly thicker as she prepared her attack. Instantly, she jumped and shot three sharp waves of shadows to the 2 boats following them. They were pushed back with cracks on them from the impact. While they tried to regain their balance, they looked up to see another pair of waves showing up, ones that managed to widen the cracks enough. The men on board cursed as their boat sank and had to swim back, but not before shooting the last flaming cannonball from their boat as it began soaking the gunpowder with water.

Alloy in turn, shot another wave, once the attacks met, a struggle of the cannonball and the wave occurred for a second before the wave deflected it to the water, creating a screen of steam that allowed them to escape, unseen. Since Ron was shielded from being seen thanks to Alloy's interference, he figured he was safe to go back since his identity was still secret. As for his gratitude, he decided to ask her where she was headed after rowing for another hour in the sea in order to help her get there as best he could.

"I don't know." Alloy replied.

"You don't know??!!" He said, his voice nearly trembling in shock.

"I don't."

"Okay, why did you take the boat??"

"To set sail."

"To go where??"

"Anywhere."

"To do what??"

"To start my guild."

"Oh… why is the princess starting a guild??"

"That's my business…"

"Alright then," Ron said, pulling out a map from under the sheet he slept under.

On the map, the town of Korra in the land of Zephro was in the South West from their current location. He then showed Alloy three close areas that she could go to to start her journey. One was an island that had peaceful people but led and protected with a guild. Another was an outlawed island that didn't have many people, everywhere there had a possibility of running into trouble, and the last one that wasn't recommended, was a swamp, where zombies had been rumored to be sighted deep inside it.

"There!! I want to go there!! To the swamp." She shouted, rocking the boat as she did. 'Maybe I'll find a zombie to recruit!!' She thought.

"Did you not hear what I said??"

"I did!! Let's go!! Besides, your work is to just leave me there, you don't have to do anything after that."

These events birthed their conversation 12 hours later, they were only 2 hours away from getting to their destination. During which Ron decided to share a story from his past that sent Alloy to sleep faster than her exhaustion tried to.

"What a rude girl," he said as he placed the sheet on her to cover her as she slept.
