~{INGRID'S POV}~
*
'Ingrid, Ingrid, Ingrid.'
I turned around when a faint whisper drifted to my ears.
"Jamie, did you hear that?"
By now we had already parked our jeep and were on foot as we headed inside the thick forest with a lot of greeneries. The smell of earth made my toes curl in delight as we kept marching forward.
"No, I didn't," he answered with a slight shrug of the shoulders as he walked ahead.
In silence I listened to every ruffle and slight movement as my senses went incredibly high. Being in the wild again after a long time reminded me of the hunt. It was such a bittersweet moment.
"Let's take this route," he pointed and I followed without question, after all he was my map.
Nonetheless, as I looked closely at the detailing of the leaves and trees, my steps faltered as my eyes slowly widened.
They had eyes, very subtle you wouldn't have realized it.
