Tessy stared at the message on her phone for the third time, her brows furrowed in concentration as she let the words sink in. Her hands, now clammy with sweat, tightened around the device.
The message was short and direct, but what disturbed her most was the implication. It meant someone was watching them. Not just watching them, but watching them right now. Slowly, she tilted the screen toward Freya.
"Read this," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Freya took the phone, her eyes scanning the message quickly. As soon as she read it, her expression morphed from curiosity to alarm. Her head snapped up, and she immediately began scanning their surroundings with wide, alert eyes.
