Blazren stood inside the Hero Association command room, fists clenched, jaw tight.
He stared at the screen in front of him—lists of names.
B-Rank. A-Rank. Missing.
More red marks every day.
Each name once belonged to a trained hero.
Now, all dead.
Blazren's eyes narrowed. "That's twenty-three in just a few days."
He turned to the side as another report was handed to him by a young officer.
"Another one, sir," the officer said quietly.
"A-Rank hero. Last seen near BD-4 ruins. No body found."
Blazren grabbed the file, flipped through it quickly, then slammed it down on the desk.
"Damn it!"
He shouted, making the others in the room jump.
The officer stepped back. "S-sir…"
Blazren growled. "They're not missing. They're dead. All of them."
He turned to the main wall screen and pointed to the map.
"They disappear, and what do we find? Burned gear. Blood. Sometimes nothing."
He looked around the room. "And every time someone does see something…"
