Kyuubi felt the overwhelming surge of chakra, and for the first time in a long while—
He was at a loss.
This chakra was far stronger than anything he had possessed, even at his peak.
And this same person had neutralized his Tailed Beast Bomb effortlessly.
What was he supposed to do against this kind of enemy?
What could he do?
---
Five minutes later.
Sakiya, Naruto, and Kyuubi sat in a triangle on the water.
Now, if you had to describe Kyuubi in one word—
It would be: Obedient.
The once-monstrous fox now sat calmly, smiling in a way that was… almost unsettling.
At first glance, he looked like a very well-behaved fox.
...
Naruto sat there in silence, still trying to process everything.
So, Sakiya's "special fox technique" actually worked?
But...
He looked up at the enormous, once-ferocious fox now grinning like a trained pet.
Wasn't this just intimidation?
This terrifying beast—who once rampaged across villages—was now just sitting there awkwardly, nodding along.
Naruto still couldn't believe it…
Meanwhile, completely ignoring Naruto's confusion, Sakiya was casually forcing Kyuubi into a series of one-sided agreements.
"Alright, Nine-Tails! First rule: I'll be coming here often to play with your tail. No complaints! I get unlimited access to the fluff!"
Kyuubi's eye twitched.
That's it?
He had expected something more... serious.
But whatever. It was just his tail.
Like it mattered.
So, with forced enthusiasm, he nodded.
"Sure. No problem."
Sakiya beamed.
"Great! Next condition!" She pointed at him seriously.
"I get to pet your head whenever I want. No exceptions!"
Kyuubi sighed internally.
At this point, he figured there was no point arguing.
"...Fine."
But Sakiya wasn't done.
"I also get to roll around on your head!"
"And—"
"I want to—"
"I..."
The more Kyuubi listened, the more he realized something.
She wasn't treating him like a powerful beast at all.
She was treating him like—
Some giant, fluffy pet.
A toy.
His once-mighty dignity was being trampled on.
But all he could do was grumble internally and nod obediently.
He had lost. Completely.
Sakiya, finally satisfied, turned to Naruto and pointed at him.
"And lastly! You must lend your power to the Orange Flame Demon unconditionally!"
Kyuubi exhaled sharply.
Ah.
There it is.
The real demand.
Without hesitation, Kyuubi split off a massive chunk of his chakra, letting it float toward Naruto.
Naruto stared at it, feeling an odd sense of unease.
"...What is this?"
Kyuubi huffed.
"Your power."
"This chakra is mine. If you borrow my power, you'll be able to use this portion of it directly," Kyuubi explained.
"Of course, it won't turn you into a mindless beast, but it will greatly enhance your strength."
He narrowed his eyes at Naruto, his usual fierce aura still lingering despite his forced obedience.
"If you go one step further, you'll reach me."
"Beyond that… you'll become fully transformed into a Tailed Beast. And trust me, you don't want that."
Naruto studied the swirling chakra in front of him before nodding.
"I get it."
Satisfied, Sakiya spent another ten minutes making even more bizarre demands from Kyuubi—mostly strange, one-sided agreements.
Only once she was completely satisfied did she finally stand up.
She then turned to Kyuubi and… gestured.
Kyuubi's expression twitched.
He knew what that meant.
She wanted to pet him.
The great Nine-Tailed Fox sighed.
Fine.
Whatever.
It was just a kid.
Without a word, he lowered his head.
Sakiya immediately ran her hands through his soft, warm fur, smiling in pure delight.
Kyuubi closed his eyes, resigning himself to his fate.
Finally, Sakiya stepped away, still grinning.
"Alright! That's enough for today."
She turned toward the exit, her steps light and cheerful.
Then, just before leaving, she glanced back over her shoulder and waved.
"Thanks for the hospitality, Kyuubi! You really are a cute little fox!"
Naruto scoffed, clearly disagreeing.
Kyuubi, now fully committed to his new life as a pet, just waved a claw in return.
As soon as Naruto and Sakiya stepped through the sealed door, it shut behind them on its own.
No effort from Sakiya was needed—Kyuubi had closed it himself.
With an extra touch of enthusiasm, he even twisted the lock.
Then, as if to clear something up, Kyuubi spoke.
"I don't have that talisman."
Naruto scratched his head.
"Eh, whatever. It's not like I was gonna put it back up anyway."
Kyuubi grinned, satisfied.
"Come visit again anytime."
Naruto's expression twitched.
This was too weird.
Still, he sighed and half-heartedly waved.
"...Thanks for the hospitality."
Then, before Kyuubi could say anything else, Naruto turned on his heel and bolted.
Sakiya covered her mouth, laughing softly, then followed with small, cheerful steps.
---
Naruto walked in silence, his mind replaying everything that had just happened.
The negotiation with Kyuubi felt almost like a dream.
It was too easy.
Too... strange.
But as they continued through the dimly lit sewer-like space, something else occurred to him.
He frowned and glanced at Sakiya.
"Wait a second. This is my inner world, right? My mindscape?"
"Shouldn't we have just... snapped back to reality?"
"Why are we still walking?"
Sakiya's smile didn't fade.
"Because there's someone you need to see."
Naruto stiffened.
Sakiya turned to him, her expression warm.
"I can feel it... That kind of love. That kind of warmth."
"But..." She looked ahead, where a white vortex had appeared.
"I don't agree with their way of showing it."
With that, Sakiya stepped forward and vanished into the light.
Naruto stood frozen.
His pulse quickened.
Someone else was here?
In his mind?
A mix of nervousness and anticipation bubbled in his chest.
Then, without hesitation—he followed.
---
A golden field.
Naruto blinked.
The dark, damp tunnels were gone.
In their place stretched an endless golden plain, bathed in warm light.
For a moment, he thought he had died.
Then he saw them.
Two figures.
One man. One woman.
Naruto's breath hitched.
His heart pounded.
Emotions swelled inside him—too many to name.
And before he could stop them, tears began to fall.
The man had sun-kissed blond hair and a bright, boyish smile.
The woman stood beside him, her gentle red hair flowing like silk.
Naruto didn't need an introduction.
His blood already knew.
He squeezed his eyes shut, took a shaky breath, and forced himself to calm down.
When he opened them again, his tear-streaked face broke into a wobbly smile.
"...First time meeting you, huh?"
"...Dad. Mom."
The moment the words left his lips, Kushina broke.
Tears streamed down her face as she rushed forward, arms open.
Naruto barely had time to react before he was pulled into the tightest hug of his life.
She held on as if she'd never let go.
Minato followed, wrapping them both in his arms.
His voice was soft.
"Thank you, Naruto..."
And for the first time in his life—
Naruto felt home.
