"I'm sorry about your room, though," Nikolas said as he sank onto the couch.
Selene couldn't hold herself any longer.
She rolled her eyes. Yeah, right.
"It's okay. I'm glad that I have somewhere to lay my head."
She said instead, moving toward the kitchen island.
"But again, I would really love to know what happened to my room, though. Hotel rooms don't just flood out of nowhere, especially not a prestigious one like this." She added, this time looking away from him.
"Yes, I understand. I just spoke with the manager, and we will definitely get to the bottom of it," Nikolas said, pinching the bridge of his nose to keep himself from laughing. He knew she wouldn't just let this go.
"And thank you for offering me your space. I really do appreciate it," Selene added.
Even though she still had the nudging feeling at the back of her head that Nikolas was behind the flooding, she still had no proof. And since he had just offered her his space, she might as well thank him.
