Our footsteps echoed on the dry dirt road leading to the gate of the final faction.
"This faction is near the demon king's palace, right?" I asked, breaking the thick silence.
"Yes," Lucen replied. "Not far from here is the palace. But most of the people from this faction live underground."
"Underground?" Ezric chimed in, eyes wide. "So we're heading into the belly of the earth? What's next, a playdate with giant spiders and fire worms? Sounds like Thronshade's base."
Kaelith simply rolled his eyes and kept leading the way.
Ahead of us, the path sloped downward, leading to a massive cave with moss-covered walls and towering natural stone pillars. Above the cave's entrance, an ancient symbol was carved: a large circle flanked by two crossed swords.
"Don't speak carelessly once we're inside," Lucen said, slowing his steps. "They value silence. And they hate being interrupted."
