Chapter 106 - Blood and Betrayal

It was around midnight in Italy. The sky was dark, peaceful, and eerily quiet—completely unaware of the storm brewing inside the grand estate of Ozan and Leyla.

But inside the mansion, chaos had erupted. Some of Ozan's most trusted guards—the ones he had personally chosen—had turned traitors. Hidden among his loyal men, they had been silently plotting for weeks. And now, they had made their move.

Gunfire cracked through the marble halls like lightning splitting the sky.

Leyla's eyes flew open at the deafening sound. Confused and panicked, she threw the blanket off and rushed downstairs barefoot.

Her heart dropped. In the middle of the luxurious lobby, masked men were firing—bullets flying everywhere. Some guards were already down. Others were firing back.

"Ozan!" she screamed.

Within seconds, Ozan sprinted into the chaos from the hallway, his jaw clenched, eyes searching wildly. He spotted Leyla. "Go back to the room! Now!" he ordered, his voice sharp with desperation.

But Leyla stood her ground. "I'm not leaving you!" she shouted back, trembling but determined.

One of the attackers moved toward Ozan. But before he could pull the trigger, Leyla ran forward, grabbed a heavy glass vase off a side table, and slammed it on the man's head from behind. He dropped instantly, unconscious.

Ozan didn't waste a second. He yanked the man's gun from his holster and spun around, pointing it directly at another traitor's forehead.

Gunfire erupted again.

Suddenly, a different attacker turned his gun toward Leyla. Her eyes widened for a second—but her instincts kicked in. With a swift roundhouse kick, she knocked the gun out of his hand and caught it mid-air, pointing it back at him.

Now both armed, Ozan and Leyla moved together like a force of nature. Back to back, they returned fire, clearing the room one shot at a time.

Then it happened.

One last traitor raised his gun—aimed directly at Leyla.

But Ozan saw it.

Without hesitation, he lunged forward.

The gun fired.

The bullet meant for Leyla hit Ozan square in the chest.

He collapsed to the ground. Blood spread fast across his shirt.

Everything froze.

Leyla's heart shattered in her chest. "OZAN!" she screamed, rushing to him.

The enemies panicked. Thinking they had succeeded in killing Ozan, they retreated and fled the mansion.

But all Leyla could see was the man lying in her arms.

For the first time in her life, Leyla felt utterly helpless. Tears streamed down her cheeks, falling onto Ozan's face as she held him tightly.

"Don't you dare leave me," she whispered, voice trembling. "Please, Ozan… stay with me…"
