[Chapter 212: Time Reversal]
Today.
Inside the villa, after waking up to the gentle touch of Kelsey and Helen Berry, Ian stood in front of the dressing mirror. He looked at himself and noticed a shimmering halo swirling in his left eye, shining like a kaleidoscope. His left eye had finally leveled up!
Over the past year, Ian's biggest scoops had mainly been in Hollywood, especially events involving Julia Roberts and the dog incident that had huge impact -- the higher the caliber, the bigger the scoop needed!
Ian's Hollywood reports were now both numerous and high quality, so the promotion of the left eye accelerated rapidly, even leaping ahead, advancing to level four.
He tested it and found nothing unusual, knowing this was no illusion upgrade.
Too bad -- he had hoped it might let him permanently control a target.
But if he could eternally control someone like Murdoch and make him instantly commit suicide leaving all his fortune to Ian himself, that would be something.
Cheats like this don't make it that easy.
Since the left eye improvement wasn't an illusion upgrade, Ian had to find another way to test it.
He stared at his reflection, feeling his vision blur.
He soon realized he was still standing there; nothing seemed to have changed, and his left eye didn't hurt.
But why did he feel like he had activated an ability when nothing happened?
Ian puzzled.
...
Just then, Kelsey sat up behind him, softly calling, "Ian! What are you doing?"
"Ah, nothing. Just checking out my physique. My abs are looking pretty good lately," Ian smiled.
Kelsey's bright eyes sparkled, "Let me see."
Ian walked over, and after some tender moments, Ian and the two ladies rekindled the passion from the previous night until Kelsey sighed in satisfaction.
Helen Berry complained playfully, "Yesterday it was her, and today again!"
"Just a coincidence, baby," Ian comforted while holding her. He had been thinking about what abilities his left eye truly held, which made him somewhat distracted, causing him to be a little early this time.
Suddenly, a strange feeling stirred inside, his left eye blurred once more.
Ian was stunned; he felt as if...
...
"How is this possible?" Helen Berry gasped, stunned by Ian's change.
This was happening too fast.
She gazed at Ian in awe, "Are you Superman?"
A faint pain came from his left eye, but Ian smiled.
He finally understood the function of his left eye.
Time Reversal!
More precisely, it let his body create an effect like rewinding time, restoring to a previous state a short while ago.
That meant if Ian were gravely wounded but not dead, he could instantly revert to before the injury.
...
Ian was ecstatic. He grabbed Helen Berry and grinned, "Now are you happy?"
Helen bit her lip excitedly, "This time it has to be me!"
"Of course, my baby! As many times as you want!" Ian lifted her up in his arms.
Feeling her warmth and hearing her joyful cries, Ian thought of Halle Berry.
If only he could combine the two.
Human desires are never satisfied -- more girls, more excitement, leading to all kinds of thrilling combinations.
Some turn to same-sex attraction because they get bored and want new experiences.
Luckily, Ian didn't go there but certain unusual thoughts had surfaced.
He wondered if Helen and Halle Berry would cooperate...
He stopped that thought and fully immersed himself in the joy brought by the two women.
...
That night, Ian experimented with the time reversal effect and confirmed he could only revert up to thirty seconds back.
Each rewind strained his ocular power.
The cost depended on how much his body differed from the previous state; reviving from death was the most costly.
That explained why his earlier uses felt nothing, as his body hadn't changed much then.
Now, Ian could restore himself with minimal cost, revitalize instantly without physical harm, and repeat as many times as he wanted.
You have to admit, it was pretty practical -- more girls meant his energy wouldn't always keep up.
So the powerful time-reversal ability was mainly for that?
Well, at least Ian couldn't expect to get shot in the head regularly -- when that happened, reversing time probably wouldn't be fast enough.
After considering this, Ian realized this phenomenal ability, due to the era he lived in, was basically limited to this use -- unless he went to war.
But Ian didn't want to go to war.
War news lacked drama and complexity compared to life, which had more changes and elements to blend.
Still, it wasn't totally useless since the world had many terrifying events, especially a big one about to flare up soon in Russia!
---
Trump Tower.
Ian, as usual, was busy handling work.
Suddenly, he heard Ida shouting from outside, "You can't come in!"
Then a familiar voice scolded, "Get out!"
Hearing that, Ian laughed, "Let her in, Ida."
The door opened.
Ivanka appeared at the office entrance.
The fiery young woman glared at Ian but when she saw him, her eyes filled with excitement.
She tossed her purse aside and rushed into Ian's arms, shouting, "Do you know how much I've missed you, Ian?"
"Feeling it, baby. You're on fire!" Ian kissed her radiant face with a smile.
Ivanka hadn't been in Los Angeles recently but kept in touch with Ian.
During her absence, she hadn't been manipulated by Ian's tactics, and she was unable to release herself again. She missed Ian even more.
She longed for his dominance, decisiveness, boldness, and gentleness.
Those were intoxicating feelings she couldn't resist.
Now she clung to Ian, panting loudly, "I came straight to see you when I arrived in LA. I missed you so much, Ian!"
She bit and clawed at Ian like a wild beast in heat.
Ian embraced her and shut the office door.
He set her on the sofa, reaching for her soft curves, ready to enjoy, but Ivanka wrapped herself around him like an octopus.
She pulled him onto her.
Ian kissed her and whispered, "Don't rush, baby."
Ivanka frantically undid his belt, "I'm very, very eager! I've been thinking about you the whole way! Ian Carr, I need ten rounds!"
"I can go from dawn to dusk!" Ian laughed, waving his hand as he closed curtains, blinds, and lights.
Time reversal was so handy now; no matter how many girls, or how many times, he could satisfy them all!
The office filled with spring-like passion, accompanied by Ivanka's wild and joyful cries.
She yelled, "Ian, how did you get so strong?"
Ian chuckled softly, "Working out is a good habit, baby."
