Chapter 47 - 46-Creation and Life

The process after the completion of an independent dimension was quite simple. Although my energy levels may not be enough to mass-produce something like divine weapons right now, but Terraforming? I didn't even need to think of conserving anything. After all, no matter how beautiful, it's just creating dirt, stone, and water. As for the decor planning, that was all left to Raph.

I mean, I imagined a scene of how I wanted this dimension to look like, and Raph went all in on the details. Soon, a beautiful landscape was formed. Of course, it needed much more work. First would be the trees... and that would be it.

I would include Freyja and Sersi in designing magical beasts and animals for the dimension.

'We also need better trees here. Have the trees feature some sort of bioluminescence—that would look both aesthetic and magical. But don't overdo it. It should be at a limited level. Minimalistic-style lights.'

[Understood, master. I will create a design which would definitely suit your aesthetics. Commencing the creation of 100,000 different species of plants, ranging from herbs and shrubs to trees, granting them all bioluminescence and some sort of magical property, ranging from poisonous to medicinal—including carnivorous plants.]

'Good. Everything here should be special. Somewhat like the Avatar world trees—but even better. And although there would be several dangers here, not too many. This would certainly become the capital of the magical humans, the cornerstone of their civilization—the place where they could record all their knowledge, ensuring that this place becomes the key to their survival later.'

[Understood, master. Anything more to add?]

'Nope. I've already given them everything they would need. I don't want to babysit them. How they live is entirely up to them. Dictating everything or providing them with everything just ruins all the fun.'

[Then everything is done, master.]

'All right. Let's start.'

And once again, I flared the Divinity of Creation back into action. This time, though, I also had to put the Divinity of Life to work. Considering trees are living—especially the magical trees I'm about to create—the Life Divinity was needed to make this easier. Creation could do it too, but using Life was just more efficient.

"And... we're done," I said, turning towards the ladies.

"Woah... Why are the trees glowing?" asked Freyja, in a voice that almost felt childish.

"Magic."

"But is this dimension not gonna have any animals at all? Only humans?"

"Of course, it would have animals. Magical beasts to be precise. And insects too. Microbes too. We need a functioning ecosystem. So of course, a complete food web is needed. If anything is missing, it would slowly but surely collapse... which is undesirable," I explained.

"I see... what do you mean by magical beasts though?"

"Stronger and fancier animals, with some magical aspects, I suppose. Don't worry, you get to design whatever you want. Your favourite ones can even become your symbols of worship if you want to," I said with a smile.

"Oh! Can we have a dragon? It should be massive, capable of launching breaths like beams of destruction—like the Bifrost! Also, make its scales out of Uru metal. We can use spears like Lifhreinsir for its claws and sharp swords like Tyrfing for the teeth! Also, it can heal from any damage it receives!" Freyja stated with literal stars in her eyes.

"....."

"Girl... if such a beast exists, even I'm not sure I can come out alive. And I sure as hell would not want to fight something like that... at least for now, that is," I complained. Her imagination ran far too wild. Such a dragon was scarier than the Destroyer itself...

"Besides that, you do realize that this dimension is meant to be a safe haven for the magic humans, right? If such a dragon existed, they would simply become its snack. So, think like a normal woman would. Design some cute, huggable beasts and be done with it. The rest will be designed by me," I ordered. Freyja's imagination ran far too wild—at least Sersi was well-behaved.

"What?!! Where's the fun in that? Just say that you're scared! Why are you blaming me?!" Freyja shouted mockingly.

"All right, the limit of the strength of the magical beasts you can create is restricted to the level you can defeat—without using Astskelfir. How about that?" This was the best solution possible. Now she would be limited by her own strength and wouldn't bicker at me. And yes, she agreed—begrudgingly.

After much deliberation, we were all done with the beasts. And yes, dragons would exist now. But unlike the monstrous version painted by Freyja, these dragons would be somewhat like the ones from the Harry Potter verse: large, physically strong, great defenses, and fire-breathing capabilities. They were a bit stronger than those dragons, but nothing too outrageous.

In this manner, the mages would prefer staying away from the dragons and almost never fight one-on-one. But if a situation arises, a large number of mages could band together to hunt a dragon. Maybe they could even tame one—and I'd get to watch a show about dragon riders.

'Let's start, Raph. Although we've completed the designing of a few popular large beasts, for the dimension to properly work, we're going to need a full ecosystem. So, you'll have to create every other creature on your own... Oh, and don't go all out in the case of microorganisms. They should just be enough to decompose and all—not give magical diseases. And in case a virus or bacteria spreads out from here to the outside world, it shouldn't bring extinction to humanity.'

[All right, master. That would, of course, be the optimal solution. Microbes are dangerous at varying levels. I will also create necessary insects, fungi, and everything else to ensure the dimension doesn't experience any problems. But I would suggest you go and rest for a while. Your current energy reserves are nowhere near enough to complete the creation of all the magical beasts. According to my speculations, it would take you around two times your current energy reserves to create all the beasts you have in mind.]

'Two times? That much? Heck, even creating a dimension is much cheaper than that!!'

[Yes, master. But please understand that you are about to create sentient beings now—ones with souls within them. The amount of energy required multiplies significantly because of that.]

'...Would creating more souls somehow attract Lady Death's attention?'

[Nope. You are not stealing souls from her. If anything, she would be happier—since more living beings mean more future deaths.]

'Fair point. Time to rest then.'

"Hahhh... I'll create the beasts later. Let's go and rest for now... I'm tired," I said, yawning as I led Freyja and Sersi to a makeshift villa I just created to rest in.
