Since the waning moon was only a thin crescent, almost gone from the sky, the room in the witch's house was relatively bright. Still dimmed and foggy, lit only with candles, but at least bright enough so that Felix could clearly see the witch's half-exposed chest, his strong shoulders and chiseled jaw.
Although whether that was a good thing, Felix wasn't so sure. After soaking in this view, he might end up having nightmares at night… Or, well, maybe not nightmares, but rather… embarrassing dreams, he didn't want to have.
But at least the witch seemed fine. Not as pale and uncomfortable as he looked that time when Felix visited him when half of the moon still hung in the sky.
"Welcome," the witch greeted him, his voice low, smooth, and relaxed. "Please, take a seat."
