Chapter 152 - Chapter 307: Asserting Dominance by Kissing

"Big sis."

A soft, sweet voice tinged with a hint of helplessness called out from one side of the dining table.

The couple and Little Light turned toward the sound.

They saw Luna sitting there, holding a knife and fork in both hands, looking pitifully at Noah, "Big sis, I can't cut the steak. Can you help me?"

Little Light stared blankly at the scene, blinking her pretty pink eyes, and muttered in her heart, 'Second Sis, you could split steel plates barehanded a year ago, what do you mean you can't cut a steak now?'

'You're getting more useless as you grow up, huh?'

Noah was also a little surprised. She remembered Luna hadn't needed her help cutting steak or correcting her posture at the table in a long time.

So why was she suddenly asking for help again?

But Noah didn't think too much about it. Since it was Luna's request, she would try to fulfill it as best she could.

Noah leaned in beside Luna, held her small hands, and helped her cut the steak bit by bit.

"Thank you, big sis. Big sis you're the best"

As Noah leaned in to help her cut the steak, Luna suddenly gave her a loud smooch on the cheek.

Big Sis's face turned red.

'Hiss~'

'What's with this little thing today? Acting all weird?'

'It's been so long since she kissed me, and now she suddenly pulls this—no wonder I'm blushing like crazy!'

As the saying goes, when middle-aged couples kiss, they have sweet dreams for several nights;

Then what happens when two sisters kiss… will they also have nightmares?

Noah pinched Luna's nose, "Eat your food properly."

Luna replied sweetly, "Got it, big sis~"

Little Light was getting goosebumps all over just from hearing this.

In her short life of just over a year, her Second Sis had always left the impression of being innocent, adorable, and full of charm, undisputedly the number one mascot of the Silver Dragon Sanctuary.

But what was this girl doing right now?

Can't cut a steak? Fine. But that exaggerated tone, even Little Light had stopped talking like that a long time ago. Why'd you start it back up again?

'Whoever you are, get off my Second Sis right now!'

"You sisters are really close."

"Ah, Luna's always been—"

"Of course~ My big sis and I are super close!", The girls' voices interrupted Little Light's wild thoughts.

She raised an eyebrow and looked at Big Sis, then at Luna, who was enjoying Noah's attentive care.

'Oh~'

The pink-haired one understood now.

'So Second Sis hasn't regressed. She hasn't been possessed.'

'She is just purely showing off!'

And now, presenting from the Silver Dragon Clan's third princess and goddess of mischief, Aurora K. Melkvei, a dramatic performance of a siscon's inner monologue, 'Big sis, you're feeding me. Helena won't get jealous, will she?'

'But everything big sis feeds me tastes amazing~'

'My big sis loves me the most~ Helena, you're just friends with her~'

'At most, you two can hug, but I can kiss her~'

'Big sis's little cheeks are so soft and fragrant—I could kiss them forever~'

'My favorite thing is—'

"What are you giggling about all by yourself?", Leon's palm gently landed on the pink fluff's head.

Little Light looked up at her dad's big hand, "Nothing. The food you and mommy made is just too good, I can't help but laugh."

"Food makes you this happy?"

"Yes, Daddy," Little Light replied with a straight face.

Leon chuckled and ruffled her hair, "Eat up."

"Roger that~"

She knew it, this weekend was going to be fun.

Little Light was already looking forward to what kind of wild, chaotic stunts her Second Sis would pull next.

———

In the evening, Leon sat in Rossweise's study, flipping through an ancient tome.

He hoped to find some clues about primordial magic within it.

Though most of the time these searches yielded nothing, for now, this was the only needle-in-a-haystack method to learn more about primordial magic.

After a bit, footsteps sounded at the door. Rossweise stepped in, wearing dragon-wing slippers.

She had just taken a bath. Her long silver hair was still wet, draped over her back. Her smooth, fair lotus-like arms still held lingering steam and water droplets.

The dragon tattoo on her chest rose and fell with her breathing. The soft curves and cleavage pressed together were quite the suggestive sight.

She also carried a pleasant scent of roses.

Leon sniffed the air but didn't look up, "Your Majesty's in quite the mood, bathing in rose petals."

Rossweise walked to the desk, tiptoed up, and lightly perched her butt on the edge of the desk. Her nightgown outlined her round hips, and her silver eyes lowered to look at Leon.

"I was going to invite you, but when I thought of how hard you're working to find clues about primordial magic for your beloved wife, I just couldn't bring myself to interrupt."

Leon closed the book and finally looked up at Rossweise, "It's not too late to invite me now."

As he spoke, he gently placed his large hand on Rossweise's leg.

Rossweise raised an eyebrow and slowly extended her own hand.

Leon thought she was responding to his flirtation, but instead, she flicked the back of his hand with a crisp snap and said, "Don't touch me. You think a queen's body is yours to casually grope?"

Leon withdrew his hand with a smile, "I understand, Your Majesty. Touching through clothes doesn't count."

Rossweise tsk'ed and flicked his cheek with her tail, "Stop saying weird stuff like that. Makes it sound like our life is full of shameless nonsense."

Leon shrugged, "And you saying you wanted to invite me to bathe together wasn't shameless?"

"I'm a woman. A woman can say that. A man can't."

"You're not just a woman, you're a mother dragon. That's a double standard."

"So what if women are a little double standard? I gave birth to your child, didn't I?"

"Like you could've done it without me."

"Our noble dragon race can reproduce on our own."

The couple bickered as usual. After a few exchanges, Rossweise left Leon speechless.

He sat in the chair holding the ancient book.

She leaned on the desk, arms crossed, water droplets still clinging to her hair.

They held each other's gaze for a moment, then both burst out laughing.

Leon set the book down, then grabbed Rossweise's wrist and pulled her toward him.

She made a token resistance, but in the end obediently leaned into Leon's lap.

He wrapped his arm around her waist, playing with her damp silver hair, "Where'd you learn all these shady tricks?"

"From studying other cultures. Came across some garbage ideas."

Rossweise comfortably leaned against the solid, powerful body. Her legs swayed gently, slippers dangling on her toes.

"Well, even if it's nonsense, as a woman, it does sound kinda satisfying."

As a queen who'd lived over two hundred years, she was certainly immune to ridiculous "chicken soup for the soul" ideas.

She just found them amusing, maybe grossing out her fake husband would be effective.

And as it turned out, Rossweise's instinct was spot on.

With decades of trolling experience, even General Lei couldn't withstand it.

Leon chuckled and shifted the conversation.

"By the way, what do you think of that classmate of Noah's?"

"What do I think?"

"Well… I don't really understand your dragonfolk's social customs, so from your point of view, is there anything wrong with Noah's friend?"

Rossweise blinked her pretty silver eyes and nodded.

"Mm, no problem."

"No dragonfolk diplomatic stuff involved?"

"That depends on which branch of the dragon race Helena comes from. If it's a tribe known for starting wars, I'd warn Noah to be cautious, but I wouldn't force her to cut ties."

Rossweise hooked Leon's arm and gently rubbed his cheek with her thumb, "Friends are hers to choose. No one else can decide that for her, right?"

"Oh, you're quite open-minded," Leon praised.

"Learned from you."

Rossweise poked Leon's chest, "Letting a daughter grow up healthy means respecting her."

Leon smiled, "Then why don't I see you respecting me?"

"Why would I respect a prisoner?"

"Alright, alright, here we go again. I've never seen a prisoner treated like this."

As he spoke, he shifted his legs, feeling Rossweise's solid weight, then hugged her tighter.

Rossweise let out a soft hum, "Well, now you have. This is how the Melkvei family treats prisoners."

After some teasing, they circled back to Noah and Helena.

"Actually, I'm really happy Noah made a friend like Helena."

Rossweise said, "That girl seems well-mannered, her gestures show good upbringing, she's obviously from a distinguished family. And she's a few years older than Noah, so emotionally she can look after her."

That last point hit the mark.

Leon nodded in agreement, "Noah's a stubborn little mule and such an introvert. Finding someone she can emotionally rely on isn't easy."

"Exactly. That's why we shouldn't interfere in their friendship."

Rossweise said, "She knows how to judge right from wrong. Who to keep close, who to avoid, she gets it."

"Mm. But…"

Rossweise raised a brow, "But?"

"I feel like Luna is acting a little… strange? At dinner tonight, she deliberately asked Noah to cut her steak. Then she even kissed her out of nowhere."

Leon pondered aloud, "Isn't that kind of sisterly affection something they usually save for their room? Why couldn't she wait till after dinner?"

Rossweise also recalled Luna's behavior at the table. It was a little odd.
