Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: Rasa Is Not Worthy of Being a Father, Orochimaru's TricksA Shocking Revelation

"Huh?"

Temari and Kankuro looked at Senju Hashirama, noticing the shift in his expression. His face, usually so calm and composed, now held a trace of confusion. They were curious about what he had realized.

But when he finally spoke, his words caught them off guard.

"Is your father really Gaara's biological father?"

Silence filled the air for a moment. The question seemed absurd.

"What do you mean by that?" Temari asked, her brows furrowing. "Of course, he is! Why would you even question something like that?"

Kankuro, equally confused, crossed his arms. "Yeah, there's no doubt about it. Gaara looks just like him."

Gaara, however, remained indifferent, his cold gaze unwavering. "From the perspective of blood, he probably is," he admitted. "Though, sometimes, I doubt it myself."

His siblings turned to him in shock, but Gaara continued, his voice emotionless. "If he truly were my father, why would he treat me the way he did? Parents are supposed to protect their children… but he only saw me as a tool, or worse, a failed experiment."

Hashirama's expression darkened. "I've seen enough of Gaara's memories to know that his childhood was filled with rejection, fear, and cruelty," he said grimly. "And not just from the villagers—his own father tried to kill him."

The Cruelty of Sunagakure

Uchiha Obito frowned. "Wait, what? The villagers bullied and insulted him? How does that even make sense?!"

"Jinchūriki are feared and rejected," Kakashi explained, his voice serious. "Because they hold tailed beasts inside them, people see them as dangerous."

Obito shook his head in disbelief. "I get why they'd be scared. But bullying? Insulting? That's just plain stupid! Don't they realize that if they push a Jinchūriki too far, they could make them snap?!"

"That's the thing," Kakashi replied. "People only act tough when they think they have control. When Gaara was a child and couldn't fight back, they took their fear out on him. But once he became strong, they all fell silent."

Gaara's eyes glowed with a cold intensity. "That's why I killed them," he stated. "Anyone who dared to mock me, to challenge my existence… I silenced them."

Obito grinned. "Sounds fair to me."

Temari and Kankuro, standing nearby, shivered slightly. They were used to Gaara's merciless personality, but seeing Obito agree with him so naturally was unsettling.

"Wait," Hashirama interrupted, his voice serious. "Gaara's suffering isn't just the fault of the villagers. His own father, the Fourth Kazekage, is the real monster."

Everyone turned to look at him.

"The Fourth Kazekage didn't just neglect Gaara," Hashirama revealed. "He sent assassins after his own son. Multiple times."

Gasps echoed through the group.

Obito's jaw dropped. "No way…"

Even Kakashi's normally calm face showed a flicker of shock. "That… That's not something a father should ever do."

Gaara remained silent, his expression unreadable.

Obito clenched his fists. "Hold on a second! If he did something that extreme, are we sure Gaara is actually his kid? What if Gaara's mom had an affair, and Rasa just found out and—"

"Enough nonsense!" Temari cut him off, glaring. "Gaara is our father's child. He has the same red hair! My hair is blonde like our mother's. Kankuro's just unlucky with genetics!"

Obito turned to Kankuro. "So you're saying… you might be the one born from an affair?"

Kankuro's face turned dark as night. "SHUT UP!"

The Ultimate Betrayal

Kakashi sighed, bringing the conversation back on track. "I still don't understand… What kind of father would send assassins after his own child?"

Gaara finally spoke, his voice like ice. "He wanted to test me."

Temari nodded hesitantly. "Father told me… He wanted to see if Gaara could truly control the One-Tail. If he survived assassination attempts, then he was strong enough to be a perfect Jinchūriki."

Obito pulled at his hair. "That is the dumbest logic I have ever heard! What kind of test is that?! Why didn't he just kill his entire village to 'test' them too?!"

Hashirama's expression grew more somber. "Actually… He did something even worse."

Everyone turned to him again.

"Gaara," Hashirama said gently, "you had an uncle, Yashamaru, correct?"

Gaara's body stiffened slightly, but he nodded.

"Your father… sent Yashamaru to assassinate you."

The words were like thunder in the silence.

Temari and Kankuro paled, their mouths opening in horror.

"No…" Temari whispered.

Hashirama sighed. "And when the assassination failed… Yashamaru told Gaara that he had never loved him. That even his mother hated him."

Temari took a step back, trembling. "That… That's not true, right? Uncle Yashamaru… He wouldn't—"

Gaara's fists clenched tightly. "He said it himself."

Kankuro punched a tree in frustration. "DAMN IT! Why would Father do this?! Uncle Yashamaru was Mom's only brother! There's no way Mom would have wanted this!"

Hashirama nodded. "That's what I don't understand either. But what I do know is that Rasa… is not worthy of being a father."

Obito crossed his arms. "Honestly, Gaara, you should just forget about him. We could introduce you to our Rasa instead. He'd probably be a better father to you."

Temari and Kankuro scowled. "That's not how it works!"

Gaara, however, remained silent.

Orochimaru's Trickery

Meanwhile, in a desolate valley in the Wind Country, the real Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, arrived at a secret meeting location. He was supposed to meet Orochimaru.

But instead…

"Ghhk—!" Rasa coughed up blood, staring down at the white bone spur impaling his stomach.

Across from him, Orochimaru grinned, his long tongue flicking out. "My apologies, Kazekage-sama," he hissed mockingly. "I didn't intend to kill you so soon… But circumstances have forced my hand."

With a swift motion, he plunged his Kusanagi blade directly into Rasa's heart.

The Kazekage's body convulsed violently. His mind was in chaos. How did this happen?

"Why… You… Bastard…" Rasa rasped, his vision darkening.

Orochimaru chuckled. "Oh, don't take it personally. You see, I've been having some… unfortunate troubles lately. The Akatsuki have been hunting me down, and I need a new plan."

Rasa's body shuddered, his strength leaving him.

"You were a pawn, Kazekage," Orochimaru whispered. "And now... you're a corpse."

With one final gasp, the Fourth Kazekage collapsed.

Orochimaru wiped his blade clean, his golden eyes gleaming. "Now then… It's time for the real show to begin."
