The rest of the morning was strangely… peaceful.
We didn't argue.
We didn't flirt—much.
We just… existed. Together. Side by side. Walking the length of the quiet beach with the wind in our hair, occasionally talking, mostly not. But not in a bad way. It was a good kind of silence.
Companionable.
After lunch, he handed me a map. "There's a trail that goes up through the cliff path. Looks steep. Probably dangerous."
I raised a brow. "You're inviting me to almost die on our honeymoon?"
He smirked. "You said you wanted adventure."
I considered it. "I did, but not something dangerous."
"I wouldn't sign you up for something I didn't think you could handle," he replied.
So we went.
The path wound upward, steep and wild, but the view was worth it. At the top, the world opened up—a golden stretch of sea on one side, green cliffs on the other.
I dropped into the grass, breathless, arms wide. "This was a good idea."
Kieran didn't say anything.
