Chapter 36 - DIDN'T MATTER

I have been walking for almost an hour for now and have still not found anybody familiar, well forget about familiar I haven't seen anybody, any single living thing I knew about. I have seen somewhere very weird insects, yeah insects which were as big as a crow but what can I say, I am literally in another world!

I have used my caliber ['achievement' one who creates the flames] and ['achievement' one who survived the deadly flames] to float in the air by creating jet propulsions beneath my feet but wasn't able to capture anybody known in my sight.

If I had done it in the city of my world I would have most probably found someone I knew but this world has many planets with life on it. It means that the living beings have many planets to create their homes.

This planet, planet 'Aquegor' has only two nations ruling over it. One is Emerald nation which was dealing with the great catastrophe of deadly virus and now is dealing with the sudden explosions all around its land and unexpected appearance of spectacles. And the second one is, the great empire of Rubridoire.

Empire Rubridoire took control of the Hiska country after greatly humiliating them in war and expnaded their boundaries. Rubridoire is also called a superpower because it was granted a WONDER by the King Arzelius recently.

"Shit, for how long do I have to walk?" I grimaced with groaning; I was walking through a destroyed innovative area with many destroyed glass buildings in sight. There were some stains of blood on the debris of the buildings meaning that there must have been victims of the explosions here in this area. The road I was walking on was straight forward with no intersection; there were only the dark streets between the small distance of two buildings.

TAP! TAP! TAP!

During my groaning I heard some silent steps, I turned my head in the direction, sound came from.

There was a brown-haired girl carrying a small girl of almost three years, blood was dripping from her forehead and her whole-body suit was tattered, not torn completely with some of her bruised skin below her neck and above her chest being visible, her legs were also wounded with visible bloodied thighs, the young girl she was carrying in her arms was tied to her with the windbreaker given to every cadet of Heinsberg.

I was able to recognize her the moment I laid my eyes on her, her brown and white mixed hair with facial features like my friend aid me in recognizing her.

"Sister Armada, what happened to you!!" I yelled as I ran towards her to support her falling body. She was walking by using the wall as a support.

"Hm, oh it's you! How are-" Sister Armada lost her consciousness in between of completing her sentence.

I caught her cause if she had fallen than the one who would have received the damage first would have been the sleeping girl up in her arms.

"Hey, don't lose consciousness, hey! Stay with me! Stay with me!

........

Xaden was picking some rubble up and then was throwing it away looking like he was trying to drag out the person buried in it. He looked around to see if anybody was there, he only found one girl with brown curly hairs and crossed arms, pouting her lips with raising her eyebrows.

Xaden passed a nervous smile after seeing the frown and again focused on picking the person out. Only three large rocks remained now, Xaden used his caliber and turned the rocks into liquid after touching them.

The debris turned into grey liquid and dripped on the ground.

HAAA!

The buried Niall inhaled deeply, raised his body and sat on his butt with highly squinted eyes and was rubbing his temples with right hand.

"Ahem! How are you feeling?" Xaden asked with an awkward smile pasted on his lips.

Niall looked at the inquiring Xaden with wide round eyes, blinked it twice and then his raised eyebrows scrunched again with anger being the cause.

He jumped towards Xaden who was rubbing both of his hands in nervousness.

"You bastard! I was this close to being crushed to death because of you!!"

"Hahaha! Niall my dear, let's talk okay! You would not want to kill your best friend, do you? So, let's just calm yourself and remember all the happy things happen to you in your life!"

Xaden said in shaky voice as Niall grabbed his windbreaker with both hands.

"What best friend? We hardly talk to each other in the span of two years!"

Niall shrieked.

"Does time really matter in case of friendship? It's a saying that friendship has to do nothing with the amount of time we have known each other." Xaden exclaimed with furrowed eyes.

"Yeah, you know what!? Fuck you! Your friendship means jack shit if you try to kill me!!" Niall screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Stop it both of you! Nothing will be gained if you fight each other."

The curly hair girl intervenes between Xaden and Niall intense argument.

"Tara, why are you interfering between us?" Niall yelled.

"Listen Niall! I know you are angry, and you have every reason to be angry but think about it for a second, could Xaden had done it knowingly? Why would he want to kill his comrade?" Tara asked Niall.

"It is easy for you to say that, because you are not the one that just held his breath for fifteen minutes! We are trained to hold our breaths for ten minutes only in our training, so can you guess how hard it was for me to hold it that much longer!"

Tara bit her lower lip and turned her gaze away from Niall after listening his sounded argument.

The angry Niall did not let go of Xaden's windbreaker and remembered everything that happened after their pod was attacked and destroyed by the blazing ball of fire.

When the fire projectile ravished the space pod, Niall was immediately pulled back by Xaden who was sitting right beside the pod's door which was on the left of pilot's seat, and he was able to jump from the pod after opening the door of it.

As Xaden jumped, there was one more cadet who followed them, it was Tara that was sitting behind Xaden. These three were the first one's who saw the blazing fire ball coming towards their pod.

Xaden had grabbed Niall and Niall screamed with jumping outside the pod together with Xaden and Tara, these three were able to jump at the right time.

The biggest trouble that was now waiting for them was how they would land safely on the solid ground.

Xaden hurriedly brings out his palms that were covered with gloves of black colour. A shining luster appeared on gloves, as the shine formed, the concrete ground beneath them commenced to turn into grey liquid, but because Xaden was in hurry, he was not able to turn the debris of destroyed building spread on the concrete ground.

The first one to fall in the grey liquid was Niall with Tara following after him and finally Xaden fell in. Xaden and Tara came out from the water unscathed, but the control over his caliber was lost by Xaden and the grey water immediately turned into concrete ground once again.

Because of this unfortunate event, even though Niall was lucky enough to not get stuck in the grey liquid turning into its former physical form. But the only thing that was unlucky for Niall was that the debris stockpiled over him and forced him to be buried under.

.......

PANTING! PANTING!

Gilberg Edison was sitting on a lying pillar of an ancient building and was surrounded by a lot of people. He was breathing heavily with his bloodied face and bruised body. Just a little further away from the crowd of people, there was a lying black body of a humanoid figure resembling the appearance of an orc.

Both of its hands were holding onto a battle axe, similar in colour of its body.

"Are you ok!" The voice resounded as many of the people asked the injured Gilberg with worried expression.

Gilberg nodded without saying anything. There was a pile of a junk metal lying in diagonal to the motionless body of deathodd.

It was a spectacle class deathodd that Gilberg was able to defeat without causing much causality. The crowd appeared out from their hidden spots only after the deed was done by Gilberg.

The crowd was in the middle of celebrating the defeat of deathodd and having their lives saved when another orc came walking towards them with holding a corpse of a young child in his hand.

Gilberg's eyes widened as he saw the incoming orc. It was because the being treading towards them did not have its body covered in black with cracks visible on it, instead it was a white coloured orc, the highest class of orc species, higher in strength and intelligence than all the other races of orcs. They are as intelligent as a normal human but their intelligent did not exceeds much from a normal level of human intelligence.

As orc is a species famous for its remarkable strength and not for their intelligence and seeing a white skin orc coming towards them with a dead child hanged in midair by his right hand gave an incredible evil intimidation for which Gilberg was not ready.

He spit out the accumulated blood in his mouth and stood up, all of the intimidation did not matter to Gilberg when he saw the dead child in orc's hand.
