Tyler's POV
That was better.
We both smilled like the heavy weight they'd been carrying was finally off their shoulders. Nothing fancy, no fireworks or dramatic music in the background. Just a shared look between two people who were finally tired of being angry. I felt it too. Like someone finally exhaled after holding their breath for years.
They both stepped off the jet, and Anne rushed over almost immediately. She hesitated for a split second, probably bracing for another explosion.
But when Han gave her the smallest nod and Eric let out a dry "We're good," she visibly relaxed. Her hands came up instinctively like she was about to hug them both, but instead, she just smiled, wiping at her eyes.
I didn't say anything. I didn't need to. I just slipped my hands into my pockets and let the weird comfort of the moment wash over me.
It felt like closure.
