"This... looks like a marine commander room."
Red glanced at the marine uniform hanging on the wall.
Though it wasn't as grand as Nezumi's office, the decor and furnishings were far more refined than the average soldier's quarters.
Whoever owned this room wasn't ordinary.
However, Nami seemed completely uninterested in Red's observation.
Her eyes were locked on the long sword before her, and without hesitation, she stepped forward and picked it up.
The moment her fingers wrapped around the hilt, the strange throbbing sensation in her heart vanished.
Then—
Her expression shifted to shock.
This feeling—
It wasn't unfamiliar to her.
She had experienced it before.
But this was the first time it had happened in the real world.
A thought flashed through her mind, and she immediately turned to Red.
Before she could even speak, Red grinned and said first:
"Congrats, Nami!"
"Looks like your 'pickup' is even stronger in the real world than it was in the Pokémon world!"
It was obvious now—
The reason Nami had suddenly entered that trance-like state was because of her pickup trait.
But Red never expected that while Nami's game counterpart could only pick up items, her real-world version had essentially turned into a treasure radar!
A flicker of surprise flashed in Red's eyes, and he clicked his tongue in amusement.
"No wonder your ability never activated before."
"You've been on the Merry this whole time—you never had the chance to sense treasure!"
"Of course! It's my pickup ability!"
Nami's face lit up with joy, her eyes sparkling.
She reached for the matching scabbard, its design echoing the lightning-shaped engravings on the blade, and carefully sheathed the sword before turning to Red.
"This is my first treasure find!"
"We'll have Zoro examine it later and see what grade it is!"
"Sounds good!" Red chuckled. "A sword like this has to have a name."
"Definitely!"
Even though Nami knew nothing about swords, her excitement was through the roof.
A built-in treasure radar!?
She LOVED the Pokémon world!!!
If not for the risk of ruining her "cool and composed" image, she might have hugged Red right then and there.
After storing the sword safely, they continued searching the room.
They quickly uncovered several million Berri along with documents linking Nezumi to the Arlong Pirates.
Then, they moved on.
Sometimes, betrayal comes from within.
In the office of the mystery commander, Red and Nami found a treasure trove of evidence—
Secretly taken photographs of Nezumi's dealings with the Arlong Pirates.
Red smirked.
"Well, well… Looks like someone had plans of their own."
Whatever this commander had been scheming, he had ended up inadvertently making their job easier.
The chaos within the marine base didn't last long.
By the time Red and Nami had finished gathering everything they needed, Luffy and the others had already defeated every single marine.
A heavy silence blanketed the base.
The kind that made the air feel heavier—like the calm after a storm.
Moments later, the Straw Hats regrouped at the Going Merry, lugging sacks of treasure as they laughed and joked.
With the wind at their backs, the light sailing ship turned and began its journey back to Cocoyasi Village.
Onboard the Merry
Inside the ship's storage room, the treasures poured out of the sacks, forming glittering piles of gold and jewels.
"Oi! There's SO much treasure!"
Luffy yelled excitedly, his eyes shining at the mountain of riches before him.
While he wasn't particularly interested in money, he was thrilled that their first big pirate mission had been such a huge success.
Just as he reached for a golden crown—
THWACK!
A weather staff came swinging down, smacking his hand away.
"Hands off!"
Nami, now wearing glasses and a tight white shirt that accentuated her figure, glared at him.
"I'm organizing our profits!"
Nami shooed Luffy away and got back to writing and calculating in her notebook, her face completely serious.
But as time passed, the golden gleam in her eyes grew brighter and brighter, even shining through her glasses, casting a golden glow over the treasure like a searchlight.
Meanwhile, Red found Zoro and tossed the long sword Nami had picked up to him.
"Here, Zoro! See what you think of this sword!"
Clang!
Red lightly tossed the sheathed blade over.
Zoro, who had been casually called over, was momentarily confused.
But the moment his hand gripped the hilt—
A flash of lightning surged through his gaze.
"This sword..."
Swish!
Like a sudden bolt of lightning, Zoro's aura shifted.
In Red's hands, the sword had simply looked sleek and well-crafted.
But in Zoro's hands—
It was as if the entire atmosphere changed.
The moment he unsheathed the blade, a sharp, blue electric light flickered across the lightning-shaped engravings on the blade.
Of course, this wasn't some innate power of the sword itself.
It was the result of Zoro's swordsmanship and Pokémon energy reacting to the weapon.
After a few practice swings, Zoro smirked with satisfaction and sheathed the blade.
"Good sword."
His tone was full of approval.
"I can tell this blade has a unique affinity for thunder-based power."
"If I combine it with Thunderbolt, my sword techniques will gain at least a 20% boost in intimidation factor."
"That strong!?"
Red blinked, then laughed.
"That's one hell of a sword, then."
"I wonder if it ranks among the famous blades."
Throughout history, many swords had been forged, but only a few were truly legendary—
The 50 Skillful Grade Swords, the 21 Great Grade Swords, and the 12 Supreme Grade Swords.
Anything outside those ranks was simply classified as a Fine Blade.
Zoro shrugged.
"Doesn't matter if it's famous."
"What matters is that it suits my style."
With a satisfied grin, he removed the old sword he had taken from the Arlong Park and replaced it with the Thunder Blade at his waist.
At that moment, Nami, who had been furiously calculating, suddenly let out a loud scream.
"TW… TWO BILLION BERRI!!!"
"OH MY GOD!!!"
"WHAT!? TWO BILLION!?"
The sheer shock in her voice immediately drew everyone's attention.
Even Usopp, who had been at the helm, and Sanji, who was preparing lunch, came rushing into the storage room.
Nami stood there, her hands trembling as she held up her notebook.
Even though she had estimated earlier that the treasure might exceed 1 billion, seeing the final number written in ink left her completely stunned.
Not long ago, she had been desperately saving up to gather the 100 million demanded by Arlong.
Now, she was suddenly in charge of two billion Berri.
It felt…
Like a dream.
"With this money, we can buy better cannons and make more ammunition!"
Usopp muttered, already imagining upgrades for the Merry's defenses.
Sanji, standing nearby, stroked his chin in thought.
"This means we can stock up on high-quality ingredients…"
"And finally upgrade my kitchen!"
Zoro, meanwhile, glanced at the only ordinary sword left at his waist and silently mused:
"A good-grade sword is only worth about a million Berri…"
"Nami wouldn't be stingy over such a small amount, right?"
"If she is… I'll have Red help me beg for it."
Then, amidst the excited chatter, a familiar voice rang out:
"BANQUET! BANQUET!"
Luffy threw his arms wide, grinning ear to ear.
"Let's have a party!!!"
Even though Luffy had no clue what two billion Berri meant, seeing his crew so excited was enough reason to celebrate.
His proposal was immediately met with cheers.
And just like that—
What was meant to be an ordinary lunch suddenly turned into a massive feast.
Sanji, the only chef on board, was overwhelmed with work—but he couldn't stop smiling.
While the Straw Hats were laughing, eating, and sailing happily…
Back at the ruins of the 16th Marine Branch, a very different scene was unfolding.
Inside the wrecked base, the adjutant, who had just regained consciousness, staggered to his feet.
His face was bruised, his uniform in tatters.
But with shaking hands, he reached for the Den Den Mushi.
Click.
His voice was hoarse but urgent as he shouted into the receiver:
"HELLO! MARINE HEADQUARTERS!?"
"THIS IS AN EMERGENCY REPORT!!!"
