Chapter 54 - Reservations

Owen looked at me feigning a hurt look, 'Bro why'd you leave me hanging' his eyes seemed to say. But soon he said "Where do we go first? Honestly I recommend a restaurant. I'm pretty famished" "You know it!" Tokito said and I nodded, but it seems we still needed to ask someone's opinion. We all turned to Aurora, but all she said was "let's go!"

**3rd POV**

The group of four made their way outside the hotel. The millennium museum wasn't just a museum, it was more like a resort. People from different part of the solar system all came for touring. Different stores on either sides of the streets all attracting tourists. The shops had exotic items from all over the system.

The people around all looked at them with awe, or perhaps looked at the symbol on their left chest.

-"Did you see that?, those are cadets from Nebula Academy." Said a man tugging at his friend's hand.

-"Mummy I wanna go to Nebula Academy too." a kid shouted. "Don't worry son, mummy would make sure of it."

-"But what are they doing here?" someone inquired.

-"Perhaps it has to do with the aliens that arrived yesterday" Another reasoned.

-"Yeah, we've got to show them humanity's strength after all."

Right now the group of four, were making their way and asking for directions. Well... Owen was asking for directions.

"Hey excuse me, can you please point us to Cucina piccante?" Owen walked away a few meters and asked a bystander.

"The resort is pretty big, there is little you can understand even if I try to explain. The best thing to do is buy a map!" said the man with a with a greedy merchant smile.

"And where can I get the map?" Owen inquired. "Oh you're in luck because you see, I sell maps." replied the man. "And how much would that be?" Owen raised his brow skeptically. "Not much" the man's smile grew. "Just 2000 credits." "We'll give you 1000" Adam Walker over to them and interjected. "Take it at 1700" the replied almost instantly.

"Dude what are you doing?!" Owen whispered. "He's obviously scamming us, can't you see that?" Adam whispered back. "And how do you know that?" "Look at that smile, I've seen plenty of it back home!" Adam replied. "Just stay silent and watch."

*Ahem* "What are you two whispering about?" the greedy merchant inquired.

"We said we'll take it at a thousand!" Owen replied. "I really can't go lower than 1200" the merchant replied with a pained expression. "Do you know how hard it is to get a weekly updated map?"

"900." Adam said.

"I'm sorry I really can't."

"800."

"What? why are you lowering the price even further?" the merchant's eyes widened.

"700." Adam replied without missing a beat.

"Fine, we've got a deal, so stop lowering it!" The merchant almost shouted.

"Too bad" Adam smiled. "It was just starting to get fun". 'Now that I think about it, haggling is really fun. Maybe I should do this more often.' Adam thought to himself.

With a flick of the merchant's finger, the merchant reached for his storage device while cursing in his mind. 'Damn kids nowadays are getting smarter. Half a decade ago, I could sell this maps for 5000 credits. Or maybe it is my tactics that are getting old. Yes that's it, I just have to change my tactics.' the man's eyes gleamed as a small circular device around the size of a thumb appeared on his hand.

"Here take it." he said passing the device to Adam. "Just tap on the middle, and it'll project a hologram of the map outwards. Now pay me my money, and I better not see a credit less."

Owen payed the man using some kind of card, and after the man confirmed having receiving the amount, Adam and Owen walked back to Tokito and Aurora.

After they left, the man looked up with nostalgia, "Nebula huh? makes me remember my time there" he muttered.

When Owen and Adam got back, there was just one problem, "Where is she?" Adam inquired. It was only Tokito standing there, Aurora was nowhere to be seen. "I don't know!" Tokito shrugged. "I was watching you two, and the next thing I know, I couldn't see her again. She probably got fed up with your shenanigans."

"What shenanigans?, I was just showing this guy, how to really bargain without flirting!" Adam gestured to Owen. "Actually I'm kinda glad Aurora left, she's been keeping me on edge all this time." Said Owen. "Now I can set loose."

"You're kinda right" Tokito muttered after a little contemplation. Ever since they were told to group up by instructor Blake, Tokito had been rather careful how he talked and behaved around Aurora without even realizing it. He even once chided Owen to cease cursing.

"Well it's not like she could get lost could she" Adam shrugged. "Let's get to this restaurant. My stomach's completely empty."

Following the map, the trio soon arrived at Infront of what looked like a palace from the outside. "Why'd you insist on coming to this restaurant again?" Tokito turned to Owen. "It's the most famous restaurant in this resort–the number one!" Owen replied with fanfare and gestures.

"And remind me why we care. Food is food" Adam shrugged. "No it's not" Owen shook his head. "Fine fine, let's go!" Tokito interjected.

Soon the trio reached the the entrance, but they were stopped by two guards stationed there. "Your reservations please sirs?" inquired one of the guards holding a tablet.

Owen hurriedly grabbed the shoulders of both Adam and Tokito, and made the three turn their backs from the guards.

"I forgot something crucial" Owen whispered. "Reservations right" Adam said. "Yeah" Owen winced. "You'd have to make one three days prior." "Look at us, we're cadets from Nebula Academy, and you're the 'great' heir of the Hargreaves family, won't they make an exception?" Tokito asked.

"You think they care about that?, the restaurant belongs to a tier two family under the Wellington family." Owen replied. Powers were divided into three tiers. The Millitary and the big seven, are all tier one powers. As for tier two powers, there are numerous clans, factions, or organizations occupying said tier. While tier three are a level below those.

"I'm sorry if you don't have a reservation, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." spoke one of the guards from behind them. During his time working here, he had seen a large number of people. There were some who came without reservations, hoping to use their connections to get in, but in the end, they all get a slap on the face.

"What are you saying?" Owen turned back. "Of course we have a reservation".

"Then what's the name under the reservation?" the guard asked.

With Tokito and Owen unaware, Adam took his hand beside him as it glowed a pale silver light, then with a flicking gesture, the light disappeared.

"It's a reservation for three under the name Owen Hargreaves" Adam replied before the other two could say anything. "The hell are you saying?" Owen whispered to Adam. And although Tokito didn't talk, he shared the same confusion. But Adam wasn't fazed, "Calm down and watch!" Adam replied.

The guard skimmed through his tab for about a quarter of a minute, then, "Found it." he said. "Please allow me to escort you to your table" the guard said–his expression taking a respectful demeanor.

Meanwhile Owen and Tokito were gobsmacked, but they still followed. On the way, "Dude how did you do that?" Owen whispered. "Do what?" Adam asked innocently. "Get us a reservation." Tokito added. "Oh that?, trade secret" Adam whispered.

"Tsk" Owen clicked his tongue.

Meanwhile Adam smiled amused, and also elated. He had used his bloodline in a way he had never done before. This time he used only his intent, and a gesture without needing to speak. The command was for there to have been a reservation in Owen's name for three, three days prior. And it worked like magic, well it was kinda magic. And somehow, he was sure, no matter how one would search, they would never find out that there had never been a reservation in Owen's name just seconds ago.

The only contradiction would be that the cadets weren't here three days ago, and there was no way they could have accessed the outside world before then. But no one's gonna wanna search that deep just for some restaurant reservation.

"Wait, is that who I think it is?!" Adam was brought out of his thoughts by Owen's exclamation. Turning to where Owen was looking, and there she was. Aurora was sitting at one of the tables. 'How the hell did she get here?' Adam thought.

"I'm gonna go give her a piece of my mind" Owen humphed.

As coincidence would have it, the table they were taken was just two tables away from Aurora's.

"Here's your table sirs, you can order using..." the guard who escorts them continued, but Owen and Adam left Tokito there and walked to Aurora. "Oi Aurora, how did you get here before us?" Owen asked. "No most importantly, how did you get a reservation here?!
