Chapter 526 - Chapter 526 Incomplete Code

The Origin Code in Fitran's hands now shines fully. However, its light... is not bright. Rather, it is clear.

Clear does not mean empty. Clear... is all the possibilities that have yet to choose a form. In the midst of that clarity, one fragment remains unstably vibrating.

A symbol. It cannot be read by Deus, an alien and mysterious entity. It is unrecognized by the Void, the emptiness that swallows everything. Even Fitran himself does not know how to pronounce it, as if the words to explain that peculiarity have vanished from his dictionary.

He names it:

"Undefined Symbol" or ∴⁇ — The Sign of Incompletion.

The Origin Code now hovers in front of Fitran, surrounded by a row of glowing Voidwright glyphs in a spiral pattern, creating a mesmerizing and terrifying dance of light.

As he gazes at the symbol, it feels as if Fitran is trapped in a labyrinth of his mind; the walls of uncertainty press from all sides. Every form that appears before him reflects hopes and fears united in one undefined entity, challenging him to seek meaning amidst the complexity. Within his soul, a piece of darkness meets the clear light, dancing in a deafening disharmony, as if the world spins around two opposing poles.

Yet right in the middle, one symbol spins aimlessly, changing shape each time Fitran tries to approach it:

Sometimes becoming Rinoa's face, filled with longing and hope,

Sometimes becoming Beelzebub's eyes, peering from the darkness in defiance,

Sometimes becoming Joanna's trembling hand, grasping uncertainty,

And sometimes... becoming an empty mirror.

In that empty mirror, Fitran sees his own reflection—a desperate warrior, trapped in a battle against uncertainty, striving to grasp what can never be touched. In his quest for courage, he hopes to find himself behind familiar faces, but what he finds is paralysis; a suspended situation between lost love and buried pain. The mirror seems to create a magical space, where all uncertainties gather, replaying the unanswered questions from his initial perspective.

Fitran sits cross-legged in the Primordial Core's transition space, a room filled with a mysterious aura that sends shivers down his spine. He calls upon his memories, trying to synchronize the meaning of the symbol, as if wanting to confirm what has been lost:

Is this an unfinished wound?

Is this unrequited love?

Or... a will that has yet to be acknowledged?

"I have embraced all my failed versions..."

"...then why does this one part refuse to reveal itself?"

The Origin Code emits a subtle resonance, a melody that envelops him, but not an answer. Just a challenge, a counter-question.

"Are you still trying to understand?"

Fitran grips the Void crystal in the Gear stored in his chest, feeling the cold energy flowing through his clenched fist.

And he realizes...

This is not something to be understood.

But rather accepted.

Voidwright Spell: Acceptus Nihil – Embracing the Unknowable

A high-level merging magic that not only unites but also accommodates various forms of meaning that refuse to be defined. It delves into the user's existence as a vessel, not a ruler, creating a boundary between reality and imagination.

Fitran's body cracks with a loud sound, like breaking glass. Yet from the cracks, it is not blood that flows—but fragments of stories scattering into the air:

A piece of voice,

A piece of promise,

A piece of fear that was never mentioned, as if forming a hollow symphony that fills the surrounding space.

The symbol ∴⁇ slowly settles before him, not within the Origin Code—but in between, suspended in the uncertainty that seeps into his soul.

Between heart and intention,

Between steps and doubt,

Between love and uncertainty, all seem to spin in an endless dance, creating an invisible weave that is tightly connected.

As if every spark of light that passes carries a series of illusions, and in the midst of that circle of uncertainty, Fitran feels himself trapped in a profound silence. The people around him speak in unspoken tones, and in that silence, there is a soft sigh from an unembodied voice, calling him to stay on the uncharted path.

He feels like a sailor stranded in the midst of a storm, sensing dark shadows creeping on the horizon, his gaze focused on the faint horizon. He is trapped between two worlds: one sweet and familiar, the other presenting bitterness with a troubling promise of uncertainty. In that uncertainty, pain and hope dance in harmony, creating a symphony of unexpressed emotions.

And the Deus system responds.

Not with an attack.

But with total rejection.

"Error."

"Code cannot be executed."

"Value is not constant."

"Entity: Fitran Fate – rejected from the system."

Fitran is not angry. He simply stands in the empty room, with a heart beating full of uncertainty, the Origin Code in his right hand, the mysterious symbol ∴⁇ pulsing softly in his left chest like a heartbeat reminding him of everything that is lost.

"If you cannot process me..."

"...then I will record the meaning that you do not wish to process."

"Not as a hero."

"But as a witness."

His first step out of the Primordial Core feels heavy, yet full of determination. He steps into a world that welcomes him with hope and doubt. The symbol on his chest shines brighter, as if becoming a guiding light in the darkness. As anxious feelings creep in, the weight of all the decisions yet to be made seems to bind him, and all the paths yet to be taken tempt him to enter.

"If you cannot process me..."

"...then I will record the meaning that you do not wish to process."

"Not as a hero."

"But as a witness."

As if before his eyes lay two worlds: one familiar, full of memories, and one undefined, mysterious and challenging. In that uncertainty, he feels a gentle breeze carrying a glimpse of past faces, as if they are calling him to return. The urge to step beyond the imagined boundaries grows stronger. His thought configuration is an endless labyrinth, where every choice creates a new skin on the bitter and harsh reality, trapping a soul that is adrift.

His first step out of the Primordial Core reshapes the geometry of the land, carving the earth with footprints full of meaning.

He does not tread on space;

He treads on possibilities. Each of his steps is a brave leap through the darkness, navigating an endless ocean that bears the weight of hope and ambition. With every footprint left behind, he releases a part of himself, striving to absorb the reality that the existence of hope means nothing without the courage to face the fragility within it.

And the world... begins to pulse again, as if responding to the challenge posed by his steps.

Beyond the reach of Deus, in the ruins of an unnamed city, a child falls, buried in dust and debris. Her knees bleed, mingling with the damp earth marked by unheard cries. No one sees. Yet, in the midst of this helplessness lies a fragment of an unexpected future. In destruction, there is a new birth. Fitran feels an invisible bond connecting him to the child, as if they share the same uncertainty etched into their souls, one in unspoken vulnerability.

Yet from behind the shadow of cracked and rusted building pillars, Unit 011-R watches silently, its electronic eyes glowing in the dark, scrutinizing every movement carefully.

And as the child rises on her own, her small body trembling with pain and fear...

The beat in Fitran's chest thunders once.

Not as praise. Not as influence. But as recognition: In this simple awakening, he realizes that every meaning he seeks may be hidden within those deemed weak. True strength lies not only with those who fight but also with those who bravely accept pain and endure, even without a voice.

That an incomplete life... is still worth continuing. And perhaps, in the journey of seeking clarity amidst the fog of uncertainty, Fitran will find that the existence of the symbol ∴⁇ is not a barrier, but a bridge to understanding and self-acceptance, illuminating the path that may seem dark and bleak.
