After floating on the huge trunk that was not huge enough to hold the weight of Levin and Jiro, the waves caused by the kraken finally receded slowly. The aquatic predators that had been eyeing them both since the tsunami appeared also went back to the sea, knowing that they had to go back or die on land. Some of them failed to do that in time with the receding waves, and could only wiggle desperately while trying to find the sea where they belonged.
As everything started to go back to normal, Levin could feel his jaw slacken at the sight in front of him. The cliff that they–or at least Jiro–stood to fish the kraken was destroyed into something beyond his recognition. The shattered rocks were everywhere, and yet, the cliff was shorter and far steeper than before, showing how crazy the giant creature's last attack was.
"Oi, Jiro, this shouldn't be your first encounter with that beast, right? Has the impact always been this destructive?" Levin asked incredulously.
