"Warriors! Charge!!!"
"Knights, let them witness our strength!!!"
"Kill!!!!"
"Charge!!!!"
War had arrived. They had gradually forgotten their identities! All they knew was that their king was behind them! Their mission was to charge!
The shadow legion had already lost their formation. The panic on their faces was impossible to conceal.
In stark contrast!
Marshal Gilles de Rais lived up to his reputation as a renowned commander! Even against a horde of monsters, he didn't launch a reckless attack. Perhaps the battle fervor within him had been ignited by everything before him.
Dragons soared in the sky, while rows of tentacle monsters advanced below! Surprisingly, there was no chaos in their ranks!
"Go!"
The distance between the two sides closed rapidly, until they finally clashed!!!
Arthur watched calmly. He didn't rush forward because he trusted his team! The sounds of battle, clashing steel, and some screams reached his ears, filling Arthur with intense emotion.
However, the others were utterly shocked! When had they ever witnessed such a scene!
"Is this the power of Heroic Spirits?" Waver whispered.
"No!" Diarmuid shook his head. "This! Is the power of kings!"
"Hahaha! As expected of my friend!" Gilgamesh laughed gleefully.
However, amidst this chaotic scene, one person remained silent, Irisviel. Unlike Artoria's contemplation, she was now deeply worried about Kiritsugu Emiya! Could they possibly win against such enemies?
Marshal Gilles didn't panic, and Jeanne coordinated well. The dragons in the sky immediately began spewing flames! It seemed Gilles understood the numerical disadvantage and wanted to whittle down the enemy first.
However, Balin was no fool! "To fight against the famous Marshal Gilles de Rais is a great honor!"
With Balin's command, the Round Table Knights immediately drew their bows from behind! The arrows, imbued with faith, possessed power no less potent than cannonballs!
"Loose!!!"
In an instant, arrows rained down like a storm, but these "raindrops" flew upwards!!!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!!!
The endless volley of arrows pierced the wings of the dragons one after another! The flightless dragons all plummeted to the ground, but the flames from their mouths still killed many of the King of Conquerors' soldiers!
However, the fallen dragons lost their chance to fly again as spears pierced through them. It was the finishing blow from the King of Conquerors' army!
As the dragons fell one by one, Marshal Gilles immediately began controlling the tentacle monsters! Each tentacle monster transformed into a battle formation!
"Round Table Knights, prepare!!!" Balin shouted!
"Kay! Bedivere! Lancelot! Form ranks!!!"
Under the leadership of several key knights, the Round Table Knights instantly formed a wedge formation! There was no more effective formation for a charging force.
The Round Table Knights directly tore a gap in the ranks of the tentacle monsters. With their perfect coordination, they had no fear of these beasts!
The main force behind them immediately followed, widening the gap. In an instant, the tentacle monsters' formation was shattered! The 10-to-1 numerical disadvantage was too great!
Because the battlefield, from ancient times to the present, has always been unpredictable.
No matter how strong Gilles was, he couldn't fight against the combined might of the Heroic Spirits. A swift and decisive victory was all but assured!
The army had arrived, moving as swift as the wind, as silent as the forest, as fierce as fire, as steadfast as a mountain, as unfathomable as shadow, and as sudden as a thunderbolt!!!
The Round Table Knights had perfectly executed this.
Like a whirlwind sweeping away clouds, the battle ended quickly, a one-sided affair. Iskandar's army inflicted many casualties but also suffered heavy losses. The Round Table Knights, while killing fewer enemies, emerged completely unscathed except for marks on their armor.
Both armies had begun to celebrate their victory. They all offered the joy of their victory to their respective kings!
Gradually, Iskandar's magical energy dwindled, and Ionian Hetairoi and the desert landscape dissolved into specks of light, vanishing like a dream.
The bounded field formed by the army dissipated, and the group found themselves back at the Einzbern castle, on the original ground. Arthur had also dismissed the majority of the Round Table Knights just moments before, leaving only the twelve chief knights. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been enough space!
Under the bright moonlight, the Masters seemed to be in a daze. All that remained were the few kings and the Jeanne and Gilles facing them. The shadow legion had been annihilated upon initial contact, so they were of no further concern.
"Jeanne, no, Jeanne Alter," Arthur stepped to the forefront of the Round Table. "Jeanne, surrender peacefully."
"Hmph! Surrender peacefully? You underestimate me! Do you still possess sufficient magical energy?" Jeanne retorted, still defiant.
"But your magical energy is also depleted," Arthur smiled, gripping Caliburn. In his mind, Jeanne was already his captive. Or so he thought.
"Is that so?" Jeanne smiled gleefully, and seeing her expression, Arthur felt a sense of foreboding!
A stream of black, mud-like substance shot up from the ground.
Jeanne Alter grasped a glob of the black mud, and instantly, magical energy surged through her body!!!
"Not good!"
The black mud enveloped Jeanne and Gilles, threatening to vanish before Arthur's eyes!!!
Arthur swiftly raised Caliburn, pointing it directly at the two figures!!!
True Name Release!!!
Caliburn!!!
A brilliant beam of light shot towards Jeanne Alter. Don't ask why he didn't use Excalibur; firstly, his magical energy was low, and secondly, Arthur didn't want to reveal his full power too early!!!
The boundless light carried immense destructive force!!!
Waves of energy rippled through the air where the light passed!
The massive beam of light struck the wall of black mud!!!
Boom!!!
The black mud was instantly vaporized into dust, and the remaining fragments fell to the ground, gradually disappearing.
The ground was empty.
"Arthur? What was that just now!" Gilgamesh asked, puzzled.
"The Holy Grail? Did the Holy Grail save them?" The "Holy Grail" Arthur spoke of was not the actual Grail, but that dense black mud! That damned thing!!!
"The Holy Grail?" The others were confused. Arthur didn't elaborate. They were all Heroic Spirits; they wouldn't easily believe others. So, Arthur remained silent, quietly pondering. Everything was becoming increasingly strange.
