Is this guy serious?!
Ao couldn't help but gulp again as he looked over at Satoru's raised hand.
He didn't even seem to be trying that hard—he just caught that tail like it was nothing?!
Ao had some scratches on his face from the wind blades… but Satoru didn't even have a speck of dust on him.
Sure, getting trash-talked by someone younger stung a little, but who had time to care about pride right now?
"How is this possible?! You look like just a regular person!"
"You caught a Tailed Beast's tail… with one hand…"
Ao muttered, his voice lacking confidence.
Is there anything more humiliating than giving someone a lecture and then getting totally shut down right after?
But even his embarrassment had to wait—because whatever power this guy was using, Ao couldn't figure it out at all.
Using his Byakugan, he scanned Satoru up and down again and again.
He could basically see the guy's bone structure by now, but there was still not even a trace of chakra inside his body.
If this is the kind of person we're dealing with, then being Hozuki Mangetsu's teacher would be nothing for him.
Scenes of their earlier conversation flashed through Ao's mind.
This guy clearly *did* look down on them…
But he had the strength to back it up.
Satoru couldn't care less about what Ao was muttering to himself.
After throwing in a few jabs, he turned his full focus to the Tailed Beast's falling tail.
His Limitless Technique could hold it back—for now.
But even he could feel his cursed energy draining fast.
Before this, even when he used reverse techniques to heal himself, he barely felt anything at all.
"I mean, I already knew your powers were crazy, Satoru…"
"But don't you think this is a bit too much?!"
Shisui's voice came from not far away. He was still carrying Hozuki Mangetsu.
Even though he had mentally prepared himself for Hatake Satoru's strength, being able to go toe-to-toe with a Tailed Beast was way beyond anything he had expected.
Shisui looked at Hatake Satoru, shocked and wide-eyed.
When Hatake Satoru blocked the Tailed Beast's tail, it gave Shisui the perfect chance to escape. He quickly carried Hozuki Mangetsu and leaped out of the Tailed Beast's attack range.
He looked up just in time to see Hatake Satoru holding back the tail with one hand.
Even though the Tailed Beast was only partially released and still in a berserk state with its chakra leaking out...
To stop that kind of chakra attack with just a hand?
Someone strong enough to fight evenly with a Tailed Beast… that's way above Kage level, right?
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, Shisui would've thought he was dreaming.
"Save the shocked faces for later—let's deal with this guy first~"
Hatake Satoru tilted his head with a helpless look, then suddenly let go, jumped back, and vanished mid-air.
He reappeared on a tree branch a good distance away from the Three-Tails.
*Boom!!*
A loud crash rang out as the tail slammed into the ground, smashing a deep, uneven crater.
The other two tails were flailing around wildly too, smashing into wooden houses in the Kaguya clan's compound. Wood chips flew everywhere as buildings collapsed with a crash.
Even though it wasn't in full form yet, the destructive power was already insane.
The three tails were all flailing at once, kicking up a massive cloud of dust that spread in every direction. Everyone quickly covered their faces and ran off to the sides.
No one could tell if Yagura would calm down now or fully release the Three-Tails. Either way, they had to get as far away as they could, fast.
You could say the situation was under control… but also totally out of control.
At the very least, aside from Hatake Satoru, no one here could stop Yagura in this state.
The Anbu from Kirigakure had actually made some preparations to seal the Tailed Beast—
But Karatachi Yagura was one of the rare perfect Jinchuriki. Over the years, everyone had gotten used to the Mizukage keeping the beast in check on his own.
So they were basically unprepared for sealing it.
Hatake Satoru leapt up, cutting through the dust, and landed high in the air.
Terumi Mei, who was about to leave with a group of Anbu, glanced back without thinking. Even though it was just a quick look, she still caught sight of him standing there in mid-air, dressed in black.
His face was half-covered by his blindfold, but it couldn't hide the powerful aura he gave off from above.
His messy silver hair blew wildly in the wind. One hand was on his chin as he stared down thoughtfully.
Confident and a little cocky, with a faint smile on his face...
They say a man is most attractive when he's serious.
"So cool…!"
Terumi Mei couldn't help but space out for a second as she looked at him. How could someone look this good while only showing half their face!?
"Hey, what are you staring at? Let's go."
Before she could take another look, the masked teammate in front of her called out.
Terumi Mei quickly turned her head back and shook it a little, her cheeks heating up just a bit.
Ugh, seriously! How could she still be distracted by a guy in a situation like this?
Hatake Satoru, on the other hand, had no idea he had just made someone fall for him in that moment.
He was just annoyed by how thick the smoke was—he couldn't get a clear view of what Yagura was doing.
After all, that guy was basically a Tailed Beast now. Fighting him wouldn't be anything like fighting a normal person.
He couldn't sense the chakra, but from up in the air, Hatake Satoru could still see everything below pretty clearly.
The smoke around Yagura had finally started to clear. That huge orange-red turtle head was slowly lifting up.
The chakra around Yagura began gathering together, forming a small, spinning ball.
A strange force could be seen around it, pulling things in, almost like the space nearby was being swallowed, turning slightly black.
The ball turned a grayish-black color, with tiny glowing bits floating inside.
"A Tailed Beast Bomb?!"
"Run! Run! The Mizukage can't control the Three-Tails anymore!"
Shouts echoed from all directions, even though everyone had already spread out quite far.
But compared to a Tailed Beast, humans were still too small and weak.
When Yagura used a Tailed Beast Bomb, he would usually keep its power and size under control.
He tried to limit how much damage it caused around him. But now, he wasn't thinking clearly anymore.
That meant the bomb's size could get out of control.
Hatake Satoru held up his index and middle finger, and a dark glow started spinning quickly at his fingertips, mixed with faint, lightning-like red sparks.
Hatake Satoru pointed at the growing Tailed Beast Bomb below and made a gun-like gesture with his hand.
"Hah!"
