Mickey was standing impatiently infront of the gate, waiting for both Xavier and Maria as the monster stones were in the bag. Two guards were standing at the gate, keeping a close eye on all of them, making sure they didn't do anything funny.
"Here you go." Xavier said as he took out the twenty four monster stones and handed them to the guards for the three of them. The guards counted the amounts of monster stones, and looked at the three of them, before allowing them to past. As they entered the city, they could see around fifty individuals, all of them looked haggard and they were looking at their weapons, while looking wearily at each other. He could also see blood splatter on more than a few of them.
'Damn it, with the way things are going, they are probably going to have to bring more prisoners soon.' Xavier thought, as he wasn't confident that by tomorrow, less than two hundred prisoners will be left, the allure of killing their fellow prisoners were too much after all. Everyone knew that points could be traded for weapons and armour, and he didn't doubt that a few of them figured out how to increase their attributes as well. This meant that by tomorrow, they will have to face stronger, and more blood thirsty prisoners...
'Which means, I need to get my shit together.' Xavier thought, and opened his Stigma Window.

He had gained sixty points from killing that prisoner Toby, and he was willing to bet that Mickey got some from his kills as well. Now the question was, what attribute should he invest in? Strength seemed to be the most obvious choice, as it was the one he seemed to be lacking the most, and physical strength was important in a place like this. Then again, vitality wasn't a bad choice either, the ability to heal from terrible wounds was indispensable here, in a place where they had zero medical supplies.

In the end, he chose to increase his agility, doubling down on his most useful attribute so far.
"Hey Mickey, how many points did you get?" Xavier whispered
"210." He answered in a low voice and Xavier's eyes widened, as he realized just how profitable killing humans were, and he looked at everyone, and a few of them were gazing at them, especially Maria, who shivered.
"You should probably increase your attributes, the same goes for you Maria. Tomorrow is going to be alot more dangerous than today, people will probably start hunting each other for points." Xavier said in a low tone and Maria twitched
"He's right, there are bound to be some unsavory bunch that will hunt prisoners and kill them for points. Things will get even worse if they bring another batch of prisoners. Each kill will net them a hundred points." Mickey said
"B-but what should I increase?" Maria asked, uncertain and Xavier thought for a moment.
"Anything you want, but try and get you VIT to 6, that should help you heal from most wounds. And if you want to know what each attribute does, just ask the Stigma Window." Xavier advised and Maria nodded her head.
"Lets go, I want to explore this city before dark." Xavier said and looked uo into the sky, and he could see the sun high in the sky. The three of them walked around the entire city, trying to cover as much ground as they could. There were certain places they couldn't go, like the Warden's office and the buildings the guards used as barracks. They also noticed that the guards weren't protecting the purple portal that brought them here. Which means what Maria overheard on the first day was true.
They were able to enter other cells, but all of them were the same, dull and grey...just like the rest of the city. They continued walking until it was almost night time, but they found nothing but dull grey buildings.
"Well, that was a bust." Xavier sighed defeatedly as they headed back to their cells. As they did, they ran into the sisterhood, who looked just as exhausted as they did.
"Hey Xavier, you're still alive huh." Rosie greeted them with a smile
"I should be the one saying that, the last time I saw you, you had one foot in the grave." Xavier said and she smiled brightly
"And thanks to you, I'm fine now. Which is why, as a token of our appreciation, I'll let you in on a secret." Rosie said and led them over to a corner, away from the other prisoners.
"I found another way to earn points." She whispered
"Yeah, by killing people. We know." Mickey said
"Huh, I kinda guessed it wasn't that big a secret considering that the amount of convicts seemed to have decreased by over half." She said, and looked over to where the prisoners were sitting, and guessed that there were only a bit over two hundred of them.
"Yeah, and it's probably gonna be a blood bath tomorrow, with everyone trying to kill each other to earn points. Which is why I need to know that I can trust you guys?" Xavier said with a glint in his eyes
"Don't worry, we have your back." Rosie said
"Good, because I'm gonna need you and your gang to come with us south tomorrow." Xavier said
"I see, you wanna test your metal against those wolves huh. I have to warn you, they are stronger and fast than those goblins." Rosie said
"So am I." Xavier replied
"Fair enough. But since we have an alliance and all, I'm gonna need to ask a favor." Rosie said and Xavier raised an eyebrow.
"What is it?"
"I'm sure you already guessed it but, the guards are going to probably bring more prisoners soon. I need to recruit more people, not just girls, into my gang. Having someone as....strong as you will help a long way when recruiting people." Rosie said and Xavier raised his eyebrow at her calling him 'strong'.
''You have a deal." He said.
